There’s some kids down the block from where I live. Passed em coming home from work so I went home, grabbed my wife and kids and went back. They were charging $1 for a cup. So we gave them $20 for a cup. Not only does it motivate those kids to keep doing it. It shows my kids hard work and how to treat people.

I still remember when I was around eight or so and my two friends and I were selling lemonade. We were out there for quite some time and only sold to our own families (we lived on a fairly quiet street which didn't really have any foot traffic) and then randomly some guy in a pickup truck driving down our street stopped and asked for cup. He handed us a five dollar bill (we were selling for 25 cents a cup) and said to keep the change. We were so over the moon, and it seemed a like a fortune to us. It was a simple act of kindness but I'm still grateful to him for choosing to make some little kids' day!

I live in a suburb just west of New Orleans and a couple of days ago I saw some smart kids that set up a "drive thru" lemonade stand in front of their house using its semi-circular driveway. Their house is on a pretty busy street so they had a lot of customers. Lemonade entrepreneurism is in the air around here this summer obviously.

3 years ago I came across a group of young boys selling lemonade in my neighborhood, two were brothers and their friend. No one was buying any, and I offered them some tips on how to improve their sales. Simple things,....a cooler with extra free ice available, for customers to add their own ice, & bigger signs, easier to read, and to set up closer to a street, stop sign. I suggested they have their friends, clamor around the stand, to draw attention to their enterprise. When people see other customers, all happy and drinking their lemonade, it draws more people.
