Nice video! but does my thermostat that hangs on the wall have to be open all the time?
@SunnybraeCroft3 жыл бұрын
Excellent I can see how that works but what are you using as a relay to switch the boiler on and off? Regards Hugh
@AttiBear3 жыл бұрын
Hi Hugh, thank you for your comment. No i don't need to switch on the boiler cause in germany most of the heating systems are controlled through facility management.

Great review! Do you know if this would make any difference on an older radiator which the company who I rent my apartment from controls via the temperature outdoors? They turn them on/off from their own central. I can switch from 0-7 on my current trv/raditor heat control thing.
@AttiBear5 жыл бұрын
Hey Philip, thank you very much! Well the answers is yes and no 😁. If your landlord turns on the heating in general let's say when it's 8° outside, the thermostats won't make a difference till it's 8° or below. Once the heating is turned on, you'll benefit from the Eve Thermo. With your traditional TRV you'll be wasting a bunch of energy. With the Eve Thermo you can utilize things like Schedules and such. So they should pretty much pay for themselves after one or two heating periods depending on your preferences.

Great review. Told me exactly what I wanted to know - that these devices are Bluetooth only. I will check if Evo has released the WiFi version. If not, I will look elsewhere. Thank you!

Not a physical one, but there's a child lock feature in the Eve App 😉

Hi Atti, great review! Two questions: 1. How good is the bluetooth range? I was considering Fibaro solution but they really struggle with more than few meters. 2. Any news on the next generation Eve Thermo with wi-fi connectivity? I believe they would already introduce it if there would be more energy efficient wifi option.
@AttiBear4 жыл бұрын
Hey Tomasz, the Thermo received a minor hardware upgrade by the end of last year where they improved on the range. Nevertheless i would recommend using one of their Eve Extends (connects to Wifi). They massively improve the connectivity and reliability.

Nice video!! I have a Apple tv4k as a HomeKit hub but because this are Bluetooth enabled does it needs my phone to by in the range or the Apple tv4k does the job to control them remotely??
@AttiBear4 жыл бұрын
If the Apple TV is in range you can control it remotely from anywhere. If not, you can use their extenders which are connected through wifi. They can control up to 8 devices.

All the EVE Thermo ads and video's fail to cover and show one very important things. If 2 rooms have 2 different temperature set (example : 1 room on 18 deg Celsius and the other room at 20 deg Celsius ) how do they talk to the boiler, and what temperature efficiency is the boiler working at?. How does the TRV valves talk to the boiler?
@AttiBear2 жыл бұрын
They don’t connect to the boiler at all. They only adjust the individual valve. So if you have two valves in one room each one will be adjusted separately unless you have a HomeKit enabled thermostat that controls both of them
@ragingsilver2 жыл бұрын
You set the boiler to a certain temp yourself. The thermo will turn up or down the temp individually.
