That unit is WAY overkill, but it will certainly warm the place up fast. Guessing the garage needs maybe 60,000 BTUs due to lack of insulation. So, the question is, what starts the pump out at the boiler? If you leave it running all the time then the coil will always be hot. OTOH, that will keep it from freezing if there's no antifreeze in the system. Also, a dedicated pump for that garage could be located by the heater and controlled by the same T-stat. Much easier than running wires and a relay back to the boiler. BTW, "solder" is pronounced "sah-der"... the L is silent.
