Love hove Stefan finds interesting issues that all the others miss. The average skill level in the league has gotten so high that guys who are one-dimensional get played off the floor. Matisse Thybulle is similar. Unless you have four other guys on the floor who can generate points, the D-only guy is a liability. Energy guy and a true defense specialist. Reminds me of Gary Payton II and Bruce Brown, Dorts, Thybulle. With NBA though you have to develop multiple skills over the years. It's unfortunate how major injury could derailed players career like that of Jeremy Lin and Grant Hill. Injury can also diminish some players skills and athletism. he shot 25% from 3pt and all those shots were wide open after an assist from his teammates. He couldnt create anything for himself and couldnt drive to the rim with the ball. If the NBA style of play was liked in the early 1990s today then maybe Andre Roberson will probably still be in the NBA. The reason is that in that time a team really need two scorers in their starting lineup and the rest of the starters need to play defense. People talk about the ACL, but the worst knee injury is injuring the patellar tendon. I snapped my patellar tendon and I needed emergency surgery right away or I wouldn’t walk normally. I know people that have injured their ACL in the same manner and went months before surgery. It’s one thing to have a D Rose knee injury, it’s a whole different thing to have a Bynum (in this case Roberson) injury.

I had the same injury back in 2019 down in Austin playing. Came down on a wet spot on the floor and it was a wrap. After a year off and physical rehab I’m back hooping now 🤙🏾🤙🏾🏀🏀🏀

Just imagine how much $ he could of made had he been able become a spot up shooter with like 35% from 3. 3&D type...

About a month ago I winder where Robinson is and was surprised he's out of the league and even played for Brooklyn. Really was a defensive dynamo. A times, he was like Tony Allen with height.

I love this guy honestly. I believe he is one of those players who doesn't scores a lot but defensively he can locked down superstars in any team. He now plays for Philippine team and the Filipino's love him so much. Andre if you read this, you got this mate🙂

It's nice to know the story. It doesn't seem tragic though. Injuries happen. I didn't watch a lot of Thunder games during his time. I knew his reputation but some of that footage makes it look like 2nd team defense was an injustice. He also seemed quite talented around the rim prior to the injury. Hopefully he saved his money while he was recovering and his future is secure.

It doesn't seem tragic? Getting your career cut short not even halfway into it is the very definition of tragic, my guy

Got me so emotional. A career and life taken away by a natural cause. I pray for him to heal and be happy 😭
