It was a free to watch plus you had taylor serano which was a main event fight
@Grogers704264 сағат бұрын
@@edotballalso had Barrios/Ramos b4 Taylor/Serrano. Those 2 fights were the best to see. I watched the main event but I didn't think Mike was going to KO Jake, even tho it would have brought back memories of deading guys during my childhood to teenage yrs. I was able to realize that Mike is sniffing 60 and even tho fighters say that power is the last to go. It would require him to have good balance, footwork, and other technical things that has already left Mike's body for him to be able to KO Jake. I'm just glad that Mike didn't end up on his back staring at the ceiling or worse. There was about a 0.002% of me (like the 12 yr old me) that was hoping to see flashes of prime Mike, but the rest of me had a pretty clear idea of how it would go. There's definitely a reason y so many athletes give up whatever sport it is by time they are 45, the body just can't do the same things that it could in the early 20s. I was surprised at the number of ppl that thought Mike would look when he fought Michael Spinks. Unfortunately the only way we can ever see that version of Mike is by trying to find out if someone uploaded his prime fights to KZbin or possibly having to search the web for the VHS tapes of certain fights, I'm sure that there's a Tyson DVD collection out in the world somewhere. I just hope that Jake doesn't try to see if Foreman can use several million dollars

@Grogers704263 сағат бұрын
I wouldn't be surprised if in a few days we hear that they are under investigation for rigging it. Everyone involved is hoping that it doesn't happen tho. Jake and Mike can lose their boxing licenses, Jake can lose his promotor's license and Netflix can lose a lot of money along with Jake and Mike. I'm not exactly sure how severe it is in Texas, might be a felony there. Even tho Jake did make a statement at the post fight press conference that might cause an investigation, when he was asked if he carried Mike to the end and he basically said yes. Almost everyone involved could be fined, losing licenses, then just the reputation that follows, to possibly jail time. Every sport wants to keep its integrity, if something interferes with the integrity, it's gonna lose fans, sponsorships, and then have to deal with strict rules and regulations in the future.
@drummrpdx3 сағат бұрын
I don't understand the argument in favor of Jake saying because it's "good for his brand" that it's good for boxing. It's stupid, it's a privileged rich kid buying his way into boxing and not fighting legit contenders.

So if people lost money betting on Jake vs Tyson…..it’s nit illegal??
@MrBrowser18819 сағат бұрын
I think that when you professionally sanction a fight which goes on record, and you build up the fight to advertise that it's legitimate, you can't blame the viewers that they "convinced themselves" NO, they were sold it, and whether viewers paid or not, they certainly paid everybody else involved in the event. So put some respect in the audience that paid all you guys, because they made it possible that clowns like Jake Paul look like he's actually doing something in the sport. But keep up that mentality you guys have, and the audience will be gone. Loyal viewers love what they watch, and WILL pay for it. But lame products eventually fade away.
@PuddlesofLFC9 сағат бұрын
Pretty spot on. Add in all the boxing media has been talking about this for months, ‘can Tyson beat him?’, making picks, boxers and all combat fighters as well, sanctioning this as a pro fight, fight camp promos like Tyson would actually be able to put one foot in front of the other let alone box respectably. Now after the fact, when it was a nearly a joke of a fight, and he acts like everyone should’ve known this was going to be a shit show. Like yes, we all knew this was a likely outcome but don’t bill it as a professional fight and promote it for months if you knew it was going to be a terrible product.
@kushpubg5 сағат бұрын
So you're saying we arent allowed to have a take on it? Nobody is saying shit about the other fights, even though they ALL went to decision. And people did spend money because people bought the netflix subscription. Most of your points can be easily debunked.

The intrigue about Jake Paul is to see him against combat sports dudes that, in theory, should be able to KO Jake (like Welterweight or Middleweight MMA fighters). Jake facing a top 10 Light heavy or Cruiserweight boxer would not be remotely competetive, nor would his fanbase or the general MMA fanbase know who those contenders are apart from Canelo.

Hey Ariel, let me take your best friend Brian Sutterer MD’s position, maybe that’ll get through your thick head. People hating on this are not just internet haters who are indifferent to boxing. And we are disgusted by this because it never should’ve happened, and no one wanted it to happen but it was shoved down our throats by you and everyone else in the media. The main disgust is JP once again taking advantage of an OAP’s fighting ego to cash in. The fact that a commission cleared Mike’s medicals is pure greed and corruption, the good doctor who you admired broke this down too. The whole event was a disgrace to boxing, but keep on denying it you shill

Mike Tyson is more than a legend. From another perspective, he’s a devoted father who, even at 58, had the skill and power to knock out Jake Paul. Yet, he chose restraint, biting his glove and holding back his anger to avoid winning the fight. In training, he’s the boxer everyone knows-a force to be reckoned with. But in the ring, he was a father first, showing a completely different side of himself. Beyond the spotlight, Tyson fulfills his role as a father by ensuring his children are financially secure. He has sacrificed parts of his legacy to provide his family with a comfortable and stable life, no matter what may come. Mike Tyson will always be Mike Tyson-a true champion and a devoted father.

Little Canelo is too small to fight Jake Paul, which is why that fight will never happen; so how is Canelo is better when he is scared to fight someone bigger?
