But the we’re in the game, 2-1 up until around the 70th minute is being in the game, and it took a superstar off the bench to take the game. When you look at the stats between both half, the only difference is that city stoped giving newcastle cheep possession, both goals came from city giving the ball away big boot and then score, newcastle were getting dominated and relied on being quick on the turn over of possession, newcastle did not have control at all and in the second half those mistakes slowed down and we won, you can dominate a team and loose facts are facts and yeah your team is weeker still domination

The biased against Newcastle is painful! The game is played based on the scoreline and at 2-1 up against city no team in the world is going to be going at them. If it was 2-1 city at half time Newcastle would need to have more possession and more chances so would have to play differently. Clearly city deserved to win the game but Newcastle had a period in the first half where city were all over the place at the back and that was due to Newcastle pressing them. They were too tired to do this in the second half and needed some attacking subs. KDB made the difference as before he came on It didn’t look like city would break them down! It was a good game and both teams could have scored more. Newcastle had a goal ruled offside and isak missed a 1 on 1 with the keeper at 2-1. City deserved to win but it wasn’t like Liverpool game the week before. Far from it !

I'm all for stats, but having the best stats doesn't always guarantee that you win a game. Quoting only possession and shots stats after a game to claim a "total demolition" is poor punditry and a poor argument. City dominate games against pretty much every team, but sometimes they lose. Applying the same logic, based on using possession and shot stats, would mean that you would have to say that city demolished teams even when city lose. The fair neutral analysis of that game would be; The better team won, but needed the substitutions to win the game as they couldn't break down Newcastle in the second half.

lewis takes how bias he is to far but in the same sense some of what he says is right and i think the counter point is the truth too tom and theo especially have bias against Newcastle back and they are saying newcastle are a champions league team and acting like they are bad because they arent performing at the level they should when they got to champions league because of a good season when realistically they have improved but need the time being one of the worse teams nearer the top to develop man city and other teams who have been taken over and had influxes of cash didnt then jump to playing at the standard they now do it took time and alot of transfer windows to develop that depth newcastle performed above where they should of last season which is why they ended up with so many issues this season because they didnt have the time to develop that depth in the space of 2 transfer windows realistically had they not had to deal with so much injury wise then this season would have been the season that depth was built in the windows and this season would have been the one thatthey finished in that spot of qualifying for champions league so that by next season when it rolls around they could have had two to two and a half years to build the depth and be ready to give it a go. realistically there best option this season after qualifying to early was to focus on the FA or the carabao and league and drop out of the others early while giving a younger less starting team like the younger players they have on the bench some experience in the tournaments they dont have the depth for and worse case they get some experience and drop out but have the team to focus on the other titles and best case some miricle happens and they kill it but there was always going to be a straw that brakes the camels back situation when they try to commit there full strength squad to every game not having the depth for them all but still trying to play like they did is what is going to cost them now probably a 2 year set back before they are ready and able to take on that challange
