The outcry after the Jota pen is just weird. If you know anything about playing football you know that having you foot clipped at full speed like that knocks you out of balance. Jota could’ve stayed up, but would’ve probably been slowed down enough so the chance would’ve slipped away. He therefore had to fall just to illustrate the contact. It might be soft, but it is by no means a clear wrong decison. Crying this much about it when you were lucky to not lose by 5-6 is just embarrassing. Objectively, the worst decison the ref made last night was Joelinton not recieving a yellow after he stopped that counter. He should’ve been sent off overall.

i think jota thought he took too big a touch around the keeper so when he felt contact he thought he’d rather a pen than a chance to maybe not score. If you’ve seen it once or twice you’d think just finish it but if u watch in full speed he looks at the defenders sprinting to the line aswell.
