Britain is in Europe, moron, classical music from its inception has been a part of our history, too. And in the past few years the proms seasons have extended to include classical forms from around the world. Because this, too, is British culture; to discover and share and celebrate. But the Last Night of the Proms is a cultural highlight for Britain; the pieces that mark the close of the season are perenially British: Jerusalem, Pomp and Circumstance, Rule Britannia etc. I just don't understand what she thought she was trying to say.
