I needed this video twice. July 2023 and October 2024. Two different trucks, same blend door actuator R&Rs. The service procedures for this are vague. This second time around I just needed to review 1 minute of this video. I had forgotten the order of metal subframing and upper dash removal. Also forgot about the hidden side, middle bolts, and airbag removal. So glad I re-found this video. I’ve been looking for it for almost a week. Finally found it searching Silverado HVAC assembly removal. Thank you for doing this video x2.

Great video and explanation as always. During the summer I've noticed that water often drips down from underneath the passenger area, must be condensation? Always wondered if it was a leak, but haven't seen it during cooler weather.

Great Video! Hopefully I don't ever need to do this to my 2006 Yukon! I'd have the extra step of removing the two front seats in order to get the center console out. Did you undo the steering column and the shift linkage on the driver's side?
@AnthonyJ3502 жыл бұрын
I just loosed the column, didn't touch the linkage since I was just moving the passenger side out. Just change your coolant regularly and hopefully your heater core doesn't leak

GM should be ashamed on this design. Dashboard should be one unit and be able to be pulled back in one piece. You have to disconnect your AC system to replace the heater core? Ridiculous. I bought a 2005 Silverado 2 months ago. Sorry I did. The Fords I had the dashboard pulled out as one unit and I replaced the heater core without dealing with the AC system. GM should be ashamed with their HVAC system.
@AnthonyJ350 Жыл бұрын
Your 2005 Silverado is one of the longest lasting trucks on the road currently, and the whole power train is easy to work on. Did you not see how ingenious the head light design is? What do you change more often, the heater core or a head light bulb?
