Boston Housing Authority took over Bromley Heath 5-10 years ago, before that my company did the drain cleaning there. 24hour service, I've been in there alone after midnight more times than you could image, although I never had a problem with ANYONE there,, I never got complacent and assumed I was safe. I saw a lot of things that would make most people look for a new job, I personally was never threatened because the service I was there to do was greatly appreciated. The only real dangerous thing that happened to me was one time sitting in van waiting for maintenance a gang member stood 10 feet away from van and stared me down for a few minutes before "scratching his belly" and lifting his shirt to "brandish" a pistol at me, but he walked away maintenance showed up and nothing else happened. It was more of a keep your mouth shut and do your work and not be bothered scenario.

Violence and crime is on the increase in these times of fear, hatred and distrust. It's really distressing and soul-crushing.

You could do a lot. Also a lot of places like Maverick in Eastie and Harbor Point in Dorechester are all changed now I don’t know much about Harbor point, but in Maverick there are still some traces of MS13
