BMW National US Headquarters of South Carolina is emblematic of wealth gaps between ethnic groups in America. It even lost a class action lawsuit for overtly trying to weed out people of African descent. Ohh but you can't believe me, or refuse to imagine such. Unfounded criteria was established and they proceeded to fire color. There are also international income/wage disparities. German BMW auto-making unions vs (US insider mover) BMW employs without union representation. In Germany you are expected to join two. At BMW South Carolina, they use assembly line and production workers hired by staffing agencies (i. e. Kelly). The cars produced in your face each can never be owned by most who help produce them. Capitalism [humans] breed more racism.

The same happened to a construction company here in SFL. EEOC fined the company heavily after completing their investigation. A person in the hiring process was told to mark the applications of Black people with an "X' so they would know not to hire that person.

So love this. I'm glad she's giving voice to some things that have been rattling around in my brain for a while. In a much more detailed and experienced way than i ever could... I mean this is what Dr King was aiming before he was killed. I mean if we ever got all of the ordinary ppl in this country to unite we could take back our government and economy and provide for everyone RATHER that the trick we're in now where ppl see eachother as enemies. That's a lie and who ever is telling you that is lying to you... ugh.. such a deep rooted lie in this country. I'm hoping this gal moves us a little bit more towards what America can be and, frankly, should have already matured into by now.

Fails to mention the huge public expenditure with Johnson on War against Poverty and affirmative action legislations. A bit selective on evidence to serve a narrative. An objective analysis is the beginning of a real discourse.

Quote "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character". The words of an obvious (and well known) racist.

I'll vote with my dollars I won't spend a dime not a penny inside any organization or store who supports or promotes color based business . I'll spend on the merit of the product not what color someone is

Yeah..wouldn't that be nice if that's how America worked?? What "merit" was the first citizenship laws ("Naturalization Act of 1790) based on? What "merit" were land and wealth transfer laws - Indian Removal, Homestead Acts, invasion and takeover of half of Mexico's land to be systematically transferred to Whites, Whites-only housing programs and Redlining, etc. etc. - based on? White privilege in American history is one of world's most effective race-based wealth redistribution schemes ever seen. Texas is no "Lone Star Republic" - it's a White welfare state. California was never a "Bear republic" any more than Hawaii is or was ever part of America. Or, if you prefer, I come take your house by force and claim it "discovered?" I guess that'd be merit-based wealth transfer (based on my superior warrior skills) - don't you think?

@BJ22 that's not to say that social class is not a real factor in wealth distribution but race is clearly a major factor in determining who gets what. Meritocracy in America is clearly a myth.

@@samuraisorrow9916 that's the thing. Business in America has never been colorblind. In fact, capitalism is not a system capable of justice - racial or otherwise - and is simply not compatible with democracy. Race is just one American construct used to establish a new ruling class order in the U.S. which replaced other tools of ruling class exploitation before the U.S.

Perhaps those auto workers looked at what the UAW has done for Detroit and decided that they didn't want to pay union dues or go on strike?

@@MRLONG758 Completely disregard?-No. However, I believe most people would prioritize their own self-interests over their prejudices. I have seen Detroit's industrial ruins firsthand so I'd probably vote against the UAW myself.

what the UAW did to Detroit?? What about Capitalism? I'm not even going to blame those individual companies - they're cogs in a larger economy that encourages and thrives on brutal exploitation. If anything, the UAW helped keep whole communities alive and put off the inevitability of the carnage on working class communities of late Capitalism for as long as possible. UAW's biggest mistake has been tying the fate of workers to the corporate capitalist interests of these companies instead of to a commitment to a socialist and democratic economy
