12a6 audio tube is cheaper than the 12v6 . I have a br2 been working on it for a little while. Yours is much better looking than mine

Yes, the 12V6 is cheaper, but I have a couple of the 12A6's so that is what I used.

I see there are no voltages marked on your Heathkit schematic diagram. At www.one-electron.com/doc_archives/Heathkit_BR-2.pdf you can get the exact same schematic with voltages marked in an oval. Good for troubleshooting!
