That’s an interesting project… btw I’m also working on mine, it came smashed on the rear side so I had to basically take it completely apart and start from zero

Oh wow, I guess I don't feel so bad that mine is just dirty (and may need some updated parts). It seems like it will be a good amp when rebuilt, so I'm looking forward to digging into it. I hope your project goes well and that you get good service out of it.

I'm in the process in resurrecting the similar SB-201. I'd recommend replacing the RF input RCA with an SO-239 and also install the Harbach SoftKey circuit board which allows a modern transceiver to switch the amplifier. Also, look closely at ALL of the solder joints - they may look good but 50+ years will have taken it's toll.

$50! What a deal the one I'm looking at, is 400 and needs all three updates and tubes unknown.

Hope the Power Transformer is Good

Me too! I'm still doing my research, so I don't know how often the transformers might go bad. I'll do some tests for sure. Thanks for watching!

I have reversed engineered my SB 200 and fitted Russian triode GI6B tubes and gives me 1300 watts dc output on 40 meters for 100watts in but the EHT transformer wont like it,the reason I did this is that there are no more USA tubes being made and the China tube,s are very poor quality and only lasted 3 weeks GI6B tubes are very cheap.
