Nice to see old equipment where they've actually written what's been done on it ;) Nice video

I got my first look at Heathkit amps in the 80s when my Uncle, Jim Fosgate, started his training to convert his brother in law's unruly mad scientist son. That was Heber City, Utah where surround sound was invented for home use. (first theater in the world) He captivated my mind and deterred my career as the Unabomber with thoughts of reaching easily to Japan and Hawaii. When you get that on a scope you will be impressed with its simple yet amazing quality performance. They are infinitely tunable. He did however berate horizontal tubes showing me the outcome of overheating and sag. So as you mention, other than the obvious review of every connection, wire, component and device in the way of your new flame thrower your the boss now! Great acquisition!

It's cool. It has old radio smell.

Mine has the original Cetron Tubes from 1971 when it was built. There is a date code on the tubes 7101 - first week of 1971. Yours should have a 4 digit date code as well.

Yes. I’m considering rebuilding the power supply with a kit. I’ll be at Xenia looking for parts!
