Heathkit VF-1 Solid State Conversion

Convert a Heathkit VF-1 VFO to 100% solid state (KV4JT).
There will be a follow up video coming soon. Watch for it.
All ground points are soldered directly to the chassis using a very hot soldering gun such as the big Weller gun.
If you install the toggle switches you have to drill the holes larger. The washers behind the faceplate will have to be drilled (not easy) or substituted with washers of the same thickness.

Watched your solid-state conversion for the HG10, the kit doesn't appear to be available on eBay, do you have the schematic? I have two and they drift as I'm sending, after they sit a few mins, they go back to where they started, but the op on the other end is continually tuning to stay with me. Any advice would be appreciated. de WA1YDK

I know this video is of older date but why didnt you key the buffer instead of the oscillator ? The drift every time it is keyed is easy to hear even though it is transistorized.
