I do heatless curls like this on naturally wavy 2b texture hair and it works amazing! What you gotta do: - fresh out the shower, put hair up in a towel turban and let it dry until it’s only damp. Takes an hour for me. - when it’s DAMP not WET then it’ll actually fully dry like this in these curlers. I shower at night, so then I sleep on these roller sets overnight. - after the turban, brush hair oil and some sort of pomade, curling cream or styling cream through all your hair before you set it in the curlers. Curling cream makes my curls last up to a week. The difference is night and day. - she’s showing how to do a refresh, so that you can keep sleeping on the curls and still have them as voluminous as day 1. I don’t do this but my curls still stay curly forever. They just get less defined, more wavy, more like a vintage brush out as the days go on. If you want to keep them super defined you do this every night.

​@@Sunflower1399 You can use flexi rods in a sock. Or flexi rods by themselves if you get a thick enough rod. I have coarse natural hair so I don't need to velvet to grip my hair. BUT she does have her own rods you can use to do this.

For the people that say it doesn’t hold the curl as good as hers it’s because her hair is layered. I have long layers so mine doesn’t hold either but the shorter the layers the better the results. Hope this helps

Hairstylist here, the reason why you are able to curl your hair in the first place is because the hydrogen bonds in your hair can be broken and reformed with heat and/or moisture. So, for heatless curls to work there has to be moisture, if you arent wetting your hair it wont work.

For me it's the opposite, if I get it wet it becomes TOO curly, my natural curls start to show 😅 I wash and straighten it once a week, and between wash days I do this and my hair always looks amazing 🫶🏼

I did try this but my head started aching because my hair was getting stretched and instead of water i put like livon leave in serum and all this hardwork and staying it that way for like 2+hrs and my hair wasnt even a bit curly i do have serious straight hair though but stilll😭

Leave in serum weighs it down and keeps it straight and you’re also pulling too tight. Also you need to have many layers
