Heaven's Bumps, Killington, Superstar, May 6, 2023

Except for the final Chinese downhill clip, which was shot Sunday, May 7, 2023, all of the video was shot Saturday, May 6, 2023, during a weekend when Superstar bumps were in their prime. The song for the video, Bob Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door, was being played by the band, the Gully Boys, at the Umbrella Bar while I was taking a water break. I merged it with the Guns N' Roses version of the song.

Awesome video! I'm the guy in the inner tube/floatie around 3:50. I just shared this to my Facebook page, but I figured I would share here the comment I put with it... If you ski Killington/Superstar in May you likely fall somewhere in the concentric circles of die-hard skier (outer circle) or elite pro (inner circle). For all of us die-hards in that outer circle who can do a good forgery of bump-skiing, watching the real masters can be both awe-inspiring and humbling. It took getting dressed up in a crazy get-up and skiing towards the camera, but I feel absolutely honored to be seen for about 1.5 seconds in a video like this. So either soak in the awesomeness of the pros for the full 5:45, or scrub to about 3:50 to see the tube man hacking his way down.
