This is a song that means A LOT to me. My amazing dad was the one who first introduced me to 80s rock & inspired my love for the genre. This specific tune was "our" song... we would jam to it in the car, singing at the top of our lungs & he once even surprised me with choosing this song for a father/daughter dance. I never imagined how close to home these lyrics would end up hitting. When he passed away in 2017, this song took on a much deeper meaning. It's now a bittersweet reminder that Heaven isn't too far away & that every single day I'm one step closer to seeing him again. I hope this cover gives some comfort to anyone out there who is missing someone they love today!
