I was a kid in the 70s and a teenager in the 80s, man I'm telling you it was the best time to be that age. High school , girls, cars and rock concerts.and real friends.....we had it all. Even back then we felt the same about these songs as we all do now. Listening now, these songs bring back memories forgotten both good and bad, friends that are no longer here...but I wouldn't change it for the world. These songs shaped who we are today, and those of you in your 50s, you know exactly what I mean. If we could go back I know you would drop what your doing and get on that bus. Appreciate your memories and never stop listening to this stuff... its the soundtrack to our lives. Cheers everyone.

I saw Warrant with Paul Stanley in 1989. They were great in the small venue in Detroit. From everything I have read and heard he was a kind gentle soul. My mom met Jani at Hammerjacks in Baltimore, MD. She was sitting at a table with her friends when he walked by and accidentally spilled his drink on her. He felt so horrible and kept apologizing over and over. My nom smiled and assured him that it was okay. He still felt so bad that he ordered her and her friends a bunch of drinks on the house. He then sat down and hung out with my mom for at least an hour. He treated her with such kindness and sincerity. She said he was a true gentleman and it was a magical night. This was back in the early 90s. She said he was the kindest, most compassionate, loving man with a great heart ♥️

9 Years. Do you think he now knows how much he’s missed? How much he’s loved? Do you think he knows what an incredibly talented singer, songwriter, musician he was? Do you think he knows how his music made our hearts race and beat slow at the same time? Or how his lyrics helped so many people get through hard times, maybe even saved a few lives? Do you think he knows that his music is still played every single day on the radio? Viewed thousands of times on KZbin 30 plus years later? Jani’s death may have been ruled Alcohol Poisoning but some very tragic things took him long before the booze. I wonder if he knew that it would have been virtually impossible to kick his alcoholism with rehab alone without addressing the emotional trauma, PTSD, and mental health. Unfortunately, Mental Health was a taboo topic back then, especially for men, never mind a kick ass Rock Star. He tried to get through it the only way he knew, to numb it. The red flags and sadness are in the lyrics. I pray you found your Peace. I pray the person/people who broke you will pay the price someday. I hope your haunting the shit out of them! I will continue to donate to a Mental Health Charity for musicians in your honor every year at this time. I was beyond blessed to be a young adult in the 80’s and early 90’s. I was blessed to see you perform. There hasn’t been that kind of raw talent in rock, or any other music since then. Thank God for Hair Nation, streaming and KZbin. To all the young musicians out there, learn how to shred the guitar, drums, bass and keyboards. Although it most definitely will “offend” some people out there during these times, Go For It! Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back. Bring back real music! Thank you Jani for giving us everything you had to give, and then some. Thank you for sharing your heart, your soul and talent. Rest In Peace. Love and prayers to your family and your beautiful daughters.

Wow!!! Very powerful words and so true and I don't think it could have been said any better. I think Warrant was so underrated. I am sure you read the book by Bobbi Brown but if you haven't please read it.

Jani was one of the ones who could sing. I always liked this song. Sad that he's not here any longer singing his heart out.
