The game console images in the OP are a reference to a specific scene in the anime/manga. It may also be a nod to the text on one of the character's shirts, which says "We are neither machines nor game pieces" 4:09 is a scene of them assembling a raft out of scraps, which is something they did offscreen in episode 2.

This anime is a great mix of postapocalypse, mystery, drama and road show, where characters travel all around Japan within a purpose to find someone. It diffidently have some triggering and confusing scenes, but 100% worth watching. For me this anime feels like a memories for a past that never was in the best sense. Manga is still ongoing, and first season leaves a lot of questions, but I hope for a season 2 This opening hit so damn hard even before watching, it was the reason I watched this show on the first place. But after watching, it hits even more P/S: special ending has a big spoiler in the visuals, maybe it's a reason you can't find anime version anywhere on YT/websites

yeah, as others have said, I'd classify this one's a post apocalyptic sci-fi mystery thriller. the show has two notable sides to it... one, where we follow a group of children in a facility that houses, feeds, clothes, and schools them in isolation from the outside world, and one where we follow a pair of kids who are navigating the post apocalyptic landscape of Japan, and traversing the little popup communities of people who are trying to get by as best they can, in a world without a true interconnected sense of organized society. the two kids in the post apocalypse, who serve as the primary protagonist duo, are Kiruko and Maru... and their mission is to bring Maru to a place known only as "heaven" where he will find someone who is said to look just like him. the connection between Kiruko and Maru is a bit unorthodox, but ultimately wholesome... they rely on each other for safety, stability, and support. but they also really need those things from each other, as the world they're traveling through can turn on a dime, from harmless or innocuous, to nightmare fuel, at any time. in part, this is because of how humans revert to their base instincts once the structure of society has collapsed. people are a mixed bag, and while some have the basic drive to be kind and helpful to one another, it only takes one person resorting to cruelty, to make a horror story. but some of this is also due to the Hiruko... these alien-like creatures that roam the land, and threaten the human population with their near supernatural abilities. part of the series' mystery is to ponder how the Hiruko came to be, what they are, and why Maru has the unique ability to kill them, when they're functionally immortal to anyone else that tries to do them harm. this show can be a really hard watch sometime... beautiful, for sure, but sometimes gut wrenching and heart wrenching in equal measure. the show is very effective at everything it tries to do, including portraying heartwarming connections between the best of what humanity has left, making the audience cry, or being deeply upsetting.

Heavenly Delusion and its OP/ED are both amazing, heartily recommended if you like mysteries and post-apocalyptic stories.

Oh my lord, crazy OP and ED for this wild show from last year. One of the best 🤯 By the way, if you gonna react this show, suggest you to prepare yourself for that sadness ending for EP8, not a first take, just for that single episode that killed me every single time 😭

Hi man, very happy that you are releasing such good content!! This anime contains a lot of suspense and mystery, with some light humor. It is an anime where you have to pay attention to every detail because it will surely be relevant in later episodes. How much more are you going to make me beg for a reaction to L'Arc~en~Ciel?

This anime went downhill faster than facebook stock, that *scene* enraged a lot people and was in poor taste. I regretted watching it.
