half the people in my generation have tinnitus because we had headphones but not devices smart enough to tell us not to turn them up to 11.

Also concerts have become louder over time
@frozencrow8735Ай бұрын
@autohmae isn't it other way around? It was louder in past and now we have different rules regarding how loud the concert can be.
@autohmaeАй бұрын
@@frozencrow8735 so I looked it up: in the past the volume came from the front and now they have better sound systems that provide sound from multiple sides. This means the loudest parts aren't as loud anymore, but the quietest parts are much louder too.
@tiagotiagotАй бұрын
I read loud volume can actually be kinda addictive, you don't feel the pain of the hearing damage, but you do feel the release of endorphin from your body trying to take care of the damage....
@reikenanАй бұрын
I've been suffering from it for about 2 years now. Definitely one of the downsides of our generation. I was addicted to loud music. Pretty sure I had it since highschool but its only recently that it's been affecting me and its pretty miserable.

Chronic GERD can lead to heart failure, so, control it with antacid or consult with your doctor. Especially when you start short of breath and pain bellow your chest, when swallowing food you wanted to vomit and constantly burping.
@OleanderGardenGhostАй бұрын
7:59 I actually have that. My eye sight is terrible. But I litterally cannot go without noise cannceling headphones. Like I can hear who my brothers are calling through the walls. I can litterally be on the second floor at the opposite side of the house and still hear my family.

the thing is, sometimes when you get tinnitus after wearing in ear headphones, that's just a bunch of gunk in your ear and you will hear fine if you get your shit cleaned. had it done at the army because the beep test was all over, turns out working with those shits in your ear and commuting with them in your ear like 12 hours a day fucks you up pretty fast

I don’t even know how I got tinnitus. Maybe from an ear infection or something, but I’ve had it since I was a kid, before ipods or ear buds or anything. I would tell my mom that I could hear a sound in my pillow and she said “Oh, that’s tinnitus,” not really explaining what that is or why I would have it.

It's pretty uncomfortable being part of a Plural System and hearing Singlets talk about "hearing voices in your head" with such unearned confidence to such a wide audience. Scared we could hear a slur any moment, or just have our whole family of headmates' existence belittled or denied outright. That type of thing.
