Speedboi had lived his entire life in a world of violence and "might is right", so when Jonathan could have killed him with that kick but deliberately chose not to, it turned Speedy's world upside down. The ideia that someone so strong would show mercy to his enemies made VelocityCart rethink his whole vision of what strenght really was. For Rohan and especially that little shit with the padlock stand however, they simply turn into completely dfiferent people after being stomped (Rohan at least still hates Josuke for beating him). Same for Yukako, and for Bruno in part 5 as well, who's introduced as a total weirdo who licks strangers to know if they're lying, but becomes normal after losing to Giovanni Giorgio.

Lol Rohan alone could've been a really interesting villain. Heaven's Door as a stand is incredibly powerful and dangerous in the hands of anybody (esp. due to the ability to control people with it by writing it on them), and it'd be really interesting to see what Rohan would've gone on to do if he'd continued with this sort of psychopathic behavior afterwards.
