Our big tractor on our farm is a John Deere 4960. We use it for all tillage, planting corn, and on the grain cart.
@chasesblog3 жыл бұрын
That used to be us as we had a 4960 but only did tillage with it, we contracted out planting, until we upgraded to an 8130 and started buying our own planting equipment. We’ve always contracted out harvest as well so we don’t pull anything for that though we also just recently traded for an 8235r.

My tractor tractor speed disk is a JOHN DEERE 1965 4020 with a 20ft JOHN DEERE 2680 speed disk. The speed disk is a little heavy but my JOHN DEERE 4020 pulls it without any problems over my 369 acre field. Excellent tractor and disk combo for tillage. When I’m making a comment is it possible to post video footage as well? I’d like to show my JOHN DEERE 4020 in action. Big Tractor Power I always enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming. Great videos. It looks like they disc corn stalks and rip bean stubble in the fall. I think it would be interesting to see a video that shows each step taken throughout the year to produce a crop in your area and discuss the timing of those steps. Maybe even highlight the difference in those steps when raising beans vs. corn. Always neat to see how farmers’ techniques vary from region to region. Keep up the good work.

I was wondering if they do all their tillage on an angle. I do. I combine all my beans on an angle also, 30 in.rows. I used to have a 4520, couple 4430s and a 4630. Now I'm down to a 1966 narrow front 3020 and an old 7700 combine. And having more fun.
