Those questioning the ones "standing around" must not understand firefighting. Not everyone works at the same time. They go in shifts so the ones that were fighting fire can rehab while fresh firefighters take their place. If everyone was working at the same time then everyone would have to rehab at the same time.

@@illiilliilliill I did too. Lots of well dressed observers. Has nothing to do with shifts or jobs, they didn't rotate the guys in the buckets. Just lots of guys standing around. Plenty enough to grab a section of hose and tap into that Tower Ladder for a bit of water to deal with the cars and pallets on fire. The Jeep on fire was responsible for the bulk of the black smoke. Knock that out so your guys aren't sucking in all those carcinogens.

Nopez, this is why firefighters sometimes have more hoses on the surroundings than on the fire. Most likely the reason why the cars and the utility poles went up is heat exposure. Especially with this kind of fire the heat is insane and as dangerous as the fire itself. The Evo that went up is for some other reason. Looks like somebody got lucky and unlucky at the same time.
