A surprising amount of imperial tech in 40k is old civilian tech for work and day to day stuff. Lasguns were primarily a standard weapon used by civilian colonists rather than military forces before old night happened to give one example, they were not even designed as a military grade weapon, as those type of weapons from the dark age of technology are far more deadly and intimidating. Lasguns are used so regularly because the knowledge to mass produce and maintain them still exists, and they are easily recharged from many sources, thus the logistical nightmare of maintaining supply lines in a galaxy at war is less of a pain in the ass for the imperium.

There’s either a cutscene or trailer where the Dark Angels are kneeling with their heads down while their chaplain speaks. The gravity goes out and they float up. The sermon continues without pause and the Angels are still kneeling in the air and the power turns back on and they slam down, still kneeling, still not a twitch, and the sermon still going. It’s badass.

Exterminatus is hard. The Imperium only has so many virus-bombs and cyclonic missiles around. The space marines prefer to land on the planet and place smaller devices just where they are needed and for that you need to strike down. You could play an exterminatus mission in the old Battlefleet Gothic specialist game. The Navy are the ones who prefer to shoot stuff from orbit. But to do that, you need to fight another fleet and whatever supporting guns and satellites the planet has.

So Caliban Green is the Post Heresy Colors. During the Great Crusade, the Dark Angles wore Black. The Dark Angel's Second Company, the Ravenwing, still wears black power armor. As for the Deathwing wearing white power armor, that's a remembrance to a time a whole bunch of them died.

For anyone who tried this in the past, and had those FPS issues but kind of wants to try it again, make sure you play the Enhanced Edition they came out with a while back. It doesn't fix the fps completely, but it makes it WAY better than it was in the base version, and anyone who owns the base version (at least on Steam) should have the EE in their library for free.

The lack of optimisation is wierd as well, as it's just Unreal 4. I suspect the games budget just wasn't that great, and given the publisher I'm not surprised.

Dreadnaught is not a voice changer. It's literally lines from WarHammer 40k: Dawn of War 2.They had way too much fun with voicing DoW 1/2. I highly recommend at least checking out the voice lines in your spare time. SPESS MARHINES! BRUVAS! THIS MANUEVER IS CALLED STEHHL RHEIN!

this game, but not as terminators(maybe unlockable), but as space marines(you can freely choose the chapter), with the loot/gear system of dawn of war 2 games(including unlockable jetpacks), not only restricted to the close confines of an space hulk/space ship, but with more map variety, like on planet missions with more freedom of movement(is also an advantage for the enemy), and at the very least 8 player, if not 10 player coop mode. also multiple enemies would be great, so the game doesnt get as boring and routine so fast... like tyranids, orks, chaos, in truth you can add all non-imperium factions as enemies, but i would gameplay wise refrain from adding eldar, tau and necrons, being absolute bosses in ranged combat, but tbh, banshees for eldar, these little animal things for the tau(kroots or whatever that xenos scum is called) and scarabs for the necrons, could be their main "swarming" force attacking you... equals best 40k shooter game ever add an amazing compelling story, following the squad and you get an overall top tier amazing game
