As many others have pointed out, this song just seems incomplete without the next song, Jaded, which this one leads into. Like Queen’s We Will Rock You leads into We Are The Champions, and while each song works fairly well by itself, they dont sound complete unless theyre listened to, together

Great Song - He can't sleep and there are references to Cross-tops (speed) and being spun (like meth). It seems like he is connecting amphetamines to not being able to sleep. Easy to relate to if you are an insomniac. It' like being in a manic state and no matter what you try to do, you just cannot sleep. No meditation, medication, only mental frustration. Love the show. Guys. Old skool Green Day are epic. Though Brain Stew should ALWAYS be played with Jaded. The two sit next to each other and one flows into the other, both on the album and at any live show. While Brain Stew is a tension builder, Jaded is flat our mental. If you do more Green Day, please make it the older stuff. In fact, PLEASE make it Minority. I think you guys will adore it (esp Lex 🤣)

Minority really isn’t that old at least for Green Day. I think something like Christie Road or Going to Pasalaqua!

It’s a simple beat. Kind of like Queen’s “We Will Rock You”. Simple but has an addictive hook with instruments and not the vocals.

Maybe you are remembering hearing the godzilla 98 remix version. Love that cd despite the movie being...what it is.
