You do a good job. I hope you keep doing this. I am new to trucking and rely on you for real world info. You may consider your own instruction school or seminars at truck shows. Your advantage is you learn from your mistakes, and humbly move on. really valuable info. If you get good at editing maybe you could put together a longer precise videos series on flat bedding and heavy haul.

Ya gotta her off ok and off to the next load. I have a quick question I'm wondering about. We always had to run a chain through the articulating part of the Loader or what ever machine we would haul. You don't have to? just curious is all. I like your channel. = )
@CanStripey8 жыл бұрын
+Danny Walker You don't hurt anything by chaining the centre articulating section but most of them have locking pins, which if they do; must be used.

I was wondering if you have a switch in the cab to lift your trailer axle when turning a corner while loaded? Im surprised your trailer doesn't have a steerable lift axle. Looks like you're havin fun, that's all that matters ;)
@HHTV608 жыл бұрын
+billy greenhorn i only have a switch for the lift axle on the truck.

have u been looking for prices on an extra axle for the lowboy
@HHTV608 жыл бұрын
+COOL PERSON (a7g3000) kaufman sells one for my trailer for US$10,000 ... BUT a 4 axle trailer gives you a marginal increase in payload. when dealing with heavy loads it's best to use jeeps and boosters...

I thought this was a trucking channel!!!!
@yatespeterm8 жыл бұрын
+tsali1940 .. Yes, it is a trucking channel. You must be new here! ;-) To be exact it is the Heavy Haul TV trucking channel. Driving heavy vehicles on and off the trailer is a part of heavy-haul trucking. So is "hurry up and wait" [.. trucking slang which means often you either have to rush to get somewhere or wait for somebody to do something!].

Hi Sergei, curious on loads with bonds - does Canada have the same procedures - bond must be cancelled in Canada before leaving ? While I have you - thanks for an interesting load and waiting for the next vid :)
@HHTV608 жыл бұрын
+Corliz A couple of times when working for Landstar I was taking a load from Ontario (Canada) to Alberta (Canada). To save on fuel, I decided to go via USA, instead of Northern Ontario. I called a customs broker and paid 35 bucks for a bond. I don't remember what I had to show at the Canada side when entering Alberta, but I didn't have to stop on the US side because it was my own bond. Bonds can be convenient when you want to go through another country ... but they can also create headaches when something goes wrong. On that trip to Alberta by the way I got a ticket in Wisconsin for being too heavy on the trailer axles - if I went through Northern Ontario, I'd be perfectly legal and avoided the ticket BUT would definitely spent more on fuel as it is always more expensive up there than in USA. So, it's a toss-up ...
@corliz11198 жыл бұрын
***** I can see why you went via US rather than Norther Ontario route, made sense. I used to work for customs brokers (plural due to many of different companies) so I have a bit of knowledge what Canada Customs requires. Found this interesting because of working within the system of clearances. I live in Quebec so understand the route you took in that load.

+Tubetronics next time i'll try to find a dead body and strap the go pro to its head. video probably would be quite steady but the picture might get a bit boring...
