Tim, Love the channel. I received my heavy hitch bedder this past week and got to put it to use yesterday. Man, I sure wished I had it 6 weeks ago. Made short work of making new garden rows and then I used just the sweeps to do some cultivating. Used the TTWT coupon for my discount as well, so thanks to you and Greg at Heavy Hitch for that. If anyone is in the market, I highly recommend it!! Keep up the good work and I look forward to the videos!

If you want a cheap way to avoid scratching your tool bar, put hockey shin pad tape on the hiller brackets and S tine mounts. We use it on P51 mustangs whenever metal overlaps to avoid scratching and paint scuffs. The stuff is cheap, clear, easy to remove, and can be found anywhere that sells hockey equipment.

Tim I don't have a garden big enough to use the potato hiller but it sure is pretty. I could put that behind my tractor and drive around and impress the neighbors.
@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
Ha. I'm not sure anything related to the tractor will impress the neighbors. Part of the reason I enjoy tractor stuff is that my (city) neighbors don't seem to be jealous of it. ...unlike the typical suburban stuff (fancy house, fancy boat, fancy cars, etc). They just think we're weird, which they already thought before, so hey, nothing lost there!
@GrampysTractor7 жыл бұрын
my neighbors would come out to see what I have done now. To each their own. They would be impressed by how shiny it is. After you harvest your potatoes in June can you replant for a second crop?
@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
+Ken Litherland i might be able to. Not sure if I can buy seed potatoes then.

I need a raise! Have to many things I need and not enough money to get anything. In the last video you wanted me to get steps for a BH I don't have. Now this but I need the weight holder first plus at least 2 more weights. I could spend over a grand just at Heavy Hitch. Back to the drawing board and making do with what I have.
@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
+mi2tn heavy hitch is especially tempting. Nearly everything they offer is something that makes Johnny more useful!

Tim. Why don’t they off the tool bar itself with 3pt hitch hook up. I don’t have the quick attach 3 pt hitch but I have a piece that looks like an A frame that goes on my 3 pt hitch’ for moving trailers around. That has a receiver on it. That’s how I hooked mine to tractor. Thank you.
@TractorTimewithTim4 жыл бұрын
If you have a 2” receiver for moving trailers, and if it is built strong enough, this will work.

ALL THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS ARE PUMPING BASEMENTS DITCHES but now where to put the water. in the pass they just drain it into the lake or niagara river well you stay dry and im glad i know how to swim i may need it

@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
+Love2boat92 we dig by hand with a pitch fork. I don't like the potato plow approach...have to get on hands and knees to search for the potatoes.

How is this different than a similar implement you were using in a July 6, 2015 video ?
@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
it's not functionally different. It is easier to store because the 3 point hitch portion is shared with the heavy hitch. You can purchase all of the pieces as a kit...one stop shopping. The other one didn't support weights...at least until I rebuilt it to do so.
@eosjoe5657 жыл бұрын
Ahh.. ok. That makes sense. Thank you for the explanation.
@patrenwick2057 жыл бұрын
I am curious though, your Stevens hiller is very nice, why the Heavy Hitch??
@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
The disks on the old one are ~70-100 yrs old. They don't even have bearings in them (as in, they were not designed with bearings). Came from my father in law's junk pile. Having said that, it was fine (but standalone) solution. The Heavy Hitch version will take up less storage space since it doesn't have a 3 point hitch built in. As you know, we are sponsored by Heavy Hitch. It makes sense that we would try out and use all of their products. Unfortunately, I already had my 'Stevens bar' before this relationship developed. The folks at Stevens are great folks. However, we are very impressed with the 'system' of components supplied by Heavy Hitch. These components are specifically designed for sub-compact tractors, and they solve many issues perfectly. We are thrilled to be partnering with them. Does that answer your question?
@patrenwick2057 жыл бұрын
That answers it, you had to Stevens before hand, I get it. I have ordered a few things from Heavy Hitch, great company and great product!! I do get what you are saying about storage though, luckily I have a 60' x 120' machinery shed on my FIL's farm otherwise I would be in trouble. Lol

Tim you might do a video on the tax exemption that the 1025r qualifies for also the non taxable diesel you can use in it. Here in Texas it is eligible for all farm tax exceptions.
@TractorTimewithTim7 жыл бұрын
+Pete Jones sounds like a sticky wicket. I'll let a cpa who also has a 1025r handle that. For the fuel, it definitely qualifies for off-road fuel, but we don't use it for convenience reasons.
