This is simply a masterpiece in music and animation. Everything from the way that the bassier notes are spaced further apart, to the elaborate, yet somehow believable, architecture in my mind makes this the magnum opus of Animusic.

Interesting how ahead of its time this one was in terms of musical trends. The one-note pulses in the bass section are reminiscent of modern metal, as are the drums.

I remember seeing this as a child (close to 12yo) and thinking that it was genuinely something some ancient civilization had built, looking back on it now, my imagination ran wild, I was a crazy kid. Finding it again as an adult (I’m 27 now) by the time the cymbals hit, I’m bawling in tears of absolute amazement and getting goosebumps that make every hair on my body stand up, at the sheer beauty of this piece. it will forever be a huge part of my life, and animusic as a whole will forever hold a special place in my heart. And even if Animusic III never does get made, at least these remasters can help experience the amazement I experienced when I was a child

Someone made a synthesia of this and I think the first chord you were talking about was B4 E4 B5 and the one after was C4 F4 A5 B5 I don’t know what that would be considered though
@MusicNerdMIDI Жыл бұрын
Those two chords are essentially a variation of the intro chords when the red lasers come in at 1:59 - E minor then F major over E pedal in the bass (classic phrygian chords). The only difference at 2:15 is the G is missing from E minor (so we get E5) and the B remains suspended through second chord (F major with B sus over E pedal).

When I was 4 years old, I watched this for the first time and immediately fell in love with the chord transition from Cmaj to Gsus4 at 1:20. That was in 2008. I am now 20 years old, the hopes of the release of Animusic 3 have vanished. I read a comment on this video earlier that essentially stated that this piece of music seems like it’s the one fighting for Animusic to stay relevant in some obscure way and make sure at least someone knows of it. It’s absolutely amazing what Wayne has done, and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours. Music driven computer animation or not.
