When I was a kid the local $1 theater used to feature Heavy Metal every Saturday night. I could quote this whole movie with my eyes closed. Den is the best. John Candy was so perfect for this, every single one of his lines is hilarious.

They didn’t edit it. He was able to control the tone in his voice. It’s called voice acting.

interesting, I like the new sound design, but I don't think they needed to pitch down Candy's voice for Den. he did a pretty damn good heroic voice in the original mix.

This film could be done is real live action. But, it would cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make it. And it would have to be R rated. I don't think it would be profitable for a film studio. But, it would be great to watch.
