Agreed mine is still a work I'm progress but I'm leaning heavily into my favorite rock and thrash metal, indie and dark country, redneck/southern, Christian roots, but I started with a old school biker esque jean jacket vest, so far it has a red 3 wooden crosses patch, a master of puppets back patch, Lost Dog Street Band patch, a black rebel flag patch and a dale earnhardt sr pin

Wow amazing!! I'm 16 and ive been into metal for just over a year now. Quite similar to your story actually, I had this metalhead teacher who I found out liked lamb of god, he introduced me to a bunch of new thrash bands when I was relatively new to metal. I've just bought a denim vest, but because I dont have a job or anything yet, I'll start adding patches over the next few months hopefully! i'm going to put a general lamb of god patch on the back only because I cant choose an album.I love them all lol! Im going to see them this December too, first concert ever. Oh also, im defo including a Maiden patch, I mean I was born in the same hospital as Steve Harris!! His childhood house is only about 15 minutes away from me. I know my family won't approve of my vest, but its alright because metal feels like family \m/

I have two battle vests. The back patch on one of my vests is that of the album cover of the record Child Chewer representing the infamous band known as Infant Annihilator. The back patch on my other Vest is none other than my favorite band of all time, the amazing Power Trip. Specifically representing the illustration of the Executioner from their song Executioner ‘s Tax… Swing of the Ax! Rest in Power Riley Gale! 🤘🏼🍻🤘🏼

I would recommend you one of my favorite bands of all time,The Weird Lord Slough Feg or just Slough Feg these days, it's like Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden having a baby, especially album Traveller,despite being not so much favorite from the band it's a blast, it's a conceptual album with dogs taking over the universe 😅,you know regular heavy metal shit

Had my first vest when I was 12 years old but I didn't like it anymore so I decided to start a new one just recently and transferred some patches of the bands that I still like. I remember asking for a Motorhead patch back when I was 12 years old, but it never came true and I'm honestly glad about that nowadays.. Was an impressionable kid who wanted to get as many patches as possible, but now, I'mma get stuff from bands I like and Motorhead ain't one of them.. Guess my vests will always be Motorhead-free. Got no qualms with washing my vest. It's too hot here and in so many parts of Asia in general not to wash something after it's been worn...

i dont have a Dio patch on my vest but i did see Dio in concert in 80 81 92 in 2008 my back patch is Motorhead Sacrifice i cut up the concert shirt from that tour also my old UFO concert shirt from 81 as a patch as well i am from the NWOBHM movement i also have my Thin Lizzy patch and Nazareth Saxon more in that era Rock on i Sewed all my patches on when i was in Jr High back in the 70s we took a Home ec Class that they made us take and we learned how to sew !! Rock on Brother Old School and New School Metal we are Metal Heads for Life !!

Ahh...Forbidden was even worse....don’t know what anyone involved in making that album was thinking LOL. Oh, and...Iron Maiden Virtual XI....one decent song and the rest is....well...pretty tough to listen to. Then again that was a not so great time in Iron Maiden history. I once had a Dio Angry Machines T shirt as well. It got to where it didn’t fit once I aged and put on a little weight in the gut LOL. Absolutely amazing artwork. I wish I could find that shirt again, because I’d definitely get it again. I’d just need an extra large this time, as my medium size days are in the past LOL

I got 2 battle 1 vest and 1 jacket. But I put what I like . I also have nonband and non metal patches. There something I dont like that you said is that every one should have theses bands , motor head and Dao are great but I only like a couple songs from them but not enough to represent them . I say if you like the band u gotta like a least a album or 2 to put a patch for them . Also I dont like (I see lots of metalheads do ) is they just over the vest from top to bottom ,front and back with 2 or more patch for one band, i say no more than 2 patches of 1 band . Idk it's just me . I personally didnt but nothing on the back besides the back patch and 1 other patch,just because I wear a book bag all time.

Back in the 1980's. It was eighter Metallica or Sepultura camp. I must admit, that Metallica is too quiet for my taste. I still enjoy Sepultura more than Metallica. It is ok that Lars is from my country, but I fear that it is the reason why they have become family friendly entertainment here.
