Heavy rain causes flash flooding in central Berks, prompting rescues and evacuations

Record rainfall caused creeks to quickly swell over their banks in several areas in across Berks County Sunday afternoon. Flash flooding made roads impassable for hours in many areas, most notably in Muhlenberg Township, Maidencreek Township, Oley and Lower Alsace Township.
