But all the roads have either had a chunk of the road missing, an unsafe bridge, too muddy/watery to drive, or high water. All ways home have been blocked for me so far and my husband is stuck at home.

My brothers family nearly died in those floods. He moved a month before and his old place was completely washed away. There would have been no escaping with as quickly the floods came if they still lived there. The Elkview area

The residents of the RIO GRANDE VALLEY in TEXAS suffered similarly the same from HURRICANE HANNAH in 2020. Millions of dollars in damage, thousands were out of power for weeks,homes were lost and damaged and hundreds were left HOMELESS. Almost all that requested for assistance from our government were denied financial assistance. Those who had home flood insurance were refused coverage or little help was given. Why was these ? Simply because we are minorities. Mexican Americans paying white man prices. FEMA refused us help because of who we were. I fell nothing for those who have lost property,as they felt nothing for us. I feel bad in my heart for being honest with my fellow Americans and asked for forgiveness from God.

I live in McEwen the closest to Waverley and I was there during the storm a couple of my friends live in Waverley and they lost there house my basement go flooded but not all the way. One of my other friends that live in Waverley there basement got flooded. My moms friends p/she knew some people that went missing and died she lived in Waverley before for a very long time I just feel so bad for those people
