What a wonderful video yet again. Question, you taking in consideration the high among of calories you burn extra when eating food? I assume you burn a lot more by sweating and keeping warm? From my understanding, correct me if I am wrong, it is best not to sweat in cold weather, correct? Do to high energie burn, right?

Thank you! For Norwegians it is skis 99% of the time. You can go up and down and all around on cross country mountain skis. Of my 3 trips to Norway, the first was at the end of February and is most memorable, as it was the first time I have experienced deep cold in the forest. What struck me was the lack of noise other than the sound of falling snow, and the "crump" of snow under my snowshoes. I would love to go back now, as a full time civvy (rather than the part time civvy I was back then). The missus however has other plans for me ;-) Great video, earned a sub for that.

Awesome video! Traveling to and camping Norway is on my list of things to do as I feel a strong pull to go there, there is something mystical about the wilderness there. I`m fairly new to camping so I have a question, Why do you put snow around the base of the tent? Also, this is the first time I`ve seen anyone read A Path of Daggers on a camping trip. Did you enjoy the series?. Anyway, I'm going to watch some more of your videos as I'm picking useful tips to aid me in the my own camping adventures. Thanks for sharing yours.

Thank you, you should come here before the wilderness is gone, the current government is destroying it all😢 always snow around the base for stability and wind protection, so snow doesnt blow in under the fly. Thanks for watching!

I like that you show text at the beginning that a full list of gear will appear at the end of this video. I may have seen more snow in this video that I've actually seen in real-life during my almost 80 years. Takes experience & a good eyes to "level" an area prior to pitching a tent on snow or otherwise. Roll up top on your backpack. My present ULA 2.0 Ohm is the first backpack I've owned with a similar roll top which I've come to prefer to zippered backpack top closures. Yikkeessss - shovel show to level the surface in those cold temperature & not even wearing gloves. No gloves while sliding those ice cold poles into the tent sleeves. I noticed you using your skies as anchors for a couple of your guyout lines instead of stakes. In fact it appeared the entire process of setting up your tent was with bare hands. No gloves during the entire process of lighting your stove, cooking your meal & eating it. I sure wouldn't want to go outside in all that snow to take care of #2. I noticed your recessed area to protect your stove from winds when cooking. Experience shows. Interesting to see you digging a trench around the perimeter of your tent, presumably so you can easily get out & adjust the guyout lines. Experience! @29 minutes - what animal belonged to those tracks? @32 minutes - the storm begins; just thinking of all the batter power you requires & the need to keep 'em warm & charged. Morning, Day 2 - definitely beautiful snow scenes. It amused me that you used your feet instead of hands to remove snow off the tent's exterior It also amuses me to see you go outside to brush your teeth. Using your ice axe & digging for your tent stakes when breaking camp amuses me. At least you were wearing gloves. Yes, I'm easily amused. Hilleberg Nallo 3 - definitely luxurious 5-Star rating accommodations out in the boonies. I've thoroughly enjoyed every second & didn't even blink while watching it from beginning to end. Warm regards from bone dry Reno, Nevada U.S.A.

What an awesome comment, thank you so much, it wasnt that cold when I got to the campsite, or I must have gotten really warm from hiking up there, there where many animal tracks, I believe they could have been fox and hare, and of course the mouse.
