@@Anudorini-Talah warcraft could have been best if it were in better hands maybe. but I have to agree there's something Wagnerian about Skyrim. Something about solo play too offers you better spiritual drift, where warcraft you are beholden to participate in a community of mostly aggressive dorks. You can never really allow yourself to enter full meditative state with warcraft unless you're just trying to sneak into unfinished areas which have all been cleaned up by now. By comparison, Skyrim is a mature immersive interactive mythology like reading the Illiad/Odyssey but acting it out.

Right, unless you die as a child, which was quite commonplace, get killed in a duel, die by infection, by eating something wrong, you could die to a fever, catch a plague, get levied and die in a skirmish, get eaten by wildlife and you also most likely don´t own any land anyhow. Wanna live in a cottage in woods? Great you get eaten by a bunch of bears or shived by an outlaw. Ofc. this is just a fraction of the ways by which you can die in this beautifull lovely past you describe. Don´t get me wrong I love history, its just today we live very well. So well in fact you can´t fathom how it might have been to live there. Don´t get me started on what do oyu mean by "no technology" a wheel is a technology, so is any tool you use in a sense. So do you want to live by eating grass naked? Yes I get what you mena, but reality is far from the fairytale that woudl indeed be lovely to live in.
