I've had 307 since it came out but never really got into it until now mainly because I'm sick of trying to mix drums. Heavyocity's production quality is top notch so I'm using it for that now. Excellent walk through. Very detailed. I may not have dug 307 back out had I not run into this video so thanks alot!

sounds cool. the industrial loops sound quite similar to the ones in damage drum kit. But I guess that's the nature of the industrial beast. Id personally like to hear industrial loops in odd tempos like 5/4, 7/8, 9/4, etc.

In Heavyocity fashion there are similarities for sure. Overall loops are the most diverse in this one out of all perc libraries they have because of the varying sound sources and genre stylizations. When it comes to different tempos, you can ’stitch’ them together yourself by triggering samples at different times and from different starting positions. Not ideal of course and different from a premade loop, but still worth testing, and actually leads to pretty interesting results.

I really must practice my finger drumming more, I am missing out on so much with these libraries by not being bold or imaginative enough

You can be creative in a MIDI editor as well! You don’t have to finger drum for that, unless that’s something you want to develop otherwise.

The irony is that having tortured myself in an effort to play the piano softly, I am now planning to bash the life out of the keys!
