So far, the best didactic introduction of how to handle Hebrew writing I was able to find on the Internet. Not too academic, but also without much simplification, exactly what a beginner like me needs. Thanks Daniel!

This is such a golden source in which to learn Hebrew. Thank you! My quick story is, back in 2011 to 2012 i became more of a Christian like all good Americans are in the U.S. and im U.S. born. Then a short time afterwards in Fall 2012, my best friend brought me to a Shabbat in Massechuchettes, in Quincy, Mass to be more spot on. The Rabbi at the Shabbat wrote a book he gave me teaching that Jesus is Hebrew, non Greek name, is Yeshua. He also taught that Jesus is Hebrew. Then the rabbi also gave me a dual language written Bible (Torah) in Hebrew next to King James English. Then years later i bought a Hebrew dictionary at a second hand book store, one in which i cannot read might i add... until.. this video! I feel like im in American elementary again, learning how to read, but now its a second language! 😁😀

Hili Daniel! I'm a post graduate student from Turkey. I wrote a thesis on a branch of American Judaism and just got my master's degree on it. I am now preparing for the doctorate exam. I really enjoyed studying Judaism so i want to explore about it more. My advisory teacher recommended me to learn Hebrew so that i could be familiar with the Hebrew texts and sources. I was looking for online courses to help me with this. There were some courses made by Turkish teachers but somehow i do not like them. When i found your channel, i could not stop watching and listening. It does not seem so hard to me for now because i know Arabic alphabet and i think these two languages have some similarities. I think i'll stick to your courses because i like the way you teach. At the end of the day, no one can teach a language as good as a native one. Thank you Daniel and please wish me luck :)

@حَسن-م3ه9ظ5 жыл бұрын
@Ghulam Rabbani hebrew and arabic both decended from Proto-Semitic,they were once just dialacts of older Semitic languages but then brached off to become their languages. Hebrew split off from canaʼan/aramaic 3~ thousand years ago Arabic split off from aramaic 3.3~ thousand years ago. Abraham is 4~ thousand years old and pre-dates both.
