I’m very impressed how easy these are to recall on the first viewing! I haven’t witnessed comprehensible input before for a language with no connexion to ones I already know - I’ve mostly been the teacher applying comprehensible input theory, and with European languages with considerable connexions to my native English and the native languages of my students (Latin, Italian, etc.). This is the evidence of how well it works, for every language! טוב מאד!

Quick question: I noticed you said "zot" when pointing to "ozen" (ear). Isn't ear masculine because it's "oznyim" for two which is the masculine conjugation? I'm a little perplexed. Regardless, absolutely adore your videos and intend to watch all of them -- please don't stop. (question for -> 3:44)
@arjuna-fn2pg8 ай бұрын
Well, 'oznaim' is prolly the dual form; I don't believe there is gender difference in the dual endings? -- Greets from Finland, from a Sanskrit freak!

Well done! Is there any way to display the words in Hebrew in the top corner of the screen while you are vocalizing them. It helps me to see the word as well as hear it. Thanks!
@AlephwithBeth4 жыл бұрын
Hi Irene, glad you're enjoying it! You will start seeing progressively more and more Hebrew written as we advance farther in the lessons, but to start out with, we haven't included the written words so those who are just starting to learn the alphabet won't get overwhelmed with too much information at once, and to help people focus on the sounds. So, stay tuned! :)

@AlephwithBeth Жыл бұрын
You'll often see words have slightly different forms when they have suffixes than when they stand alone. It has to do with the history of the development of the words. The form with suffixes is usually thought to preserve the older form of the word.
