I have read Professor Yuval Noah Harari's books already. There were lots of things I have learned throughout the reading process. I love the fact that Yuval always talked about things based on ethics and humanity. I agree with his points of views most of the time. Humans, regardless of nationality, race, religion and background, are actually all similar originally. Let's have less hatred, prejudice, ignorance and conspiracy theory against each other. We all should stay together, solve global issues together and hopefully create a more resilient world for our future generations, or for humanity in the future. Whenever there is a new interview of Yuval coming up online, I will come and watch it immediately. Thanks for the upload and Romi did a great job too.

In the U.S., the politicians are not being forced to act the way they do (as Prof Harari says), but they ARE very strongly incented by the mega-rich donor class to act in ways that do not disturb the current power structure. Money in politics holds sway in elections, policy, legislation, budgeting, and much more.

This man is a dialectical [and thus monological] materialist. By "monological" I mean that he is an global integralist: Either play by the rules that his enlighened intelligence has deemed best for you, or he [and those who bankroll his ideas] will exclude you from society. You will be forced off the grid. For him to succeed, any belief in God must be rendered inefficacious precisely by making God meaningless [which he obviously is convinced of himself]. A very gifted and yet angry and conflicted man, but that's just my opinion.

It's fascinating how reasonable and internally consistent our position appears from the inside. How obvious that those in the opposing camp are mistaken and causing all these problems. Even the most brilliant and accomplished achedemic considers, without reflection, that the hatred, division and loss os trust derives from what someone else is doing. There is a component of open-mindedness which is entirely independent of IQ. Not just in this instance but all around us; there are people who believe what they are told often enough and those who evaluate for themselves. Wasn't it Marcus Aurelius who said: Your job in life is not to be in agreement with the majority; but simply to escape finding yourself in the ranks of the insane. Things haven't changed much since his time.

Very exiting time! Like a rebirth from stagnant ways! An opportunity to reach globally and resolve one’s differences. Testing values, changing everything all over the world! I retired from teaching eight years ago. I always felt that to be content one must keep learning. I am happy to learn from you that faith, truth and love is the force which will help to bring us together under the umbrella of philosophy and ethics. We will vote for different leadership. As new voices rise. (like Andrew Yang) America is feeling a lot of anxiety. Vanity, ego,,all being challenged! If God exists, that is what we humans come to terms with one’s mortality. The global community is beginning and I am thrilled to find how isolation is the antidote to growing widely. Thank you for this talk,it nourishes the souls and believe that we will become a stronger and spiritual people under a new banner. With respect and much love for you I am grateful that I just opened my phone too early in America to take a physical walk,it’s four in the morning!! Bye beesmakelifegood@yahoo.com Margo

While I always enjoy his talks in various settings, I found this interview the most coherently and concisely presented his views from his books. With nearly a year into the pandemics, his insights are much better related and integrated as the reality unfolds His practical advice for higher education in engineering is not only timely, but also well timed. Thirteen months ago, I was listening to his last book while I was having holidays in Kangaroo Island, South Australia. Large tracks of forest on the island have been destroyed in last summer’s bushfires. The words and those vast forests are now inextricably linked in my memory. Yes, COVID-19 may well be only a practice ball the nature throws at us. We can disappear too, just like those forests. It is his penetrating understanding will be a guiding light for the testing time ahead.

Interesting, except for the political propaganda. It is not correct that other major democracies have dealt with Covid-19 in a more efficient way than Israel. It is also important to indicate that public trust is never complete in a democracy. In fact, freedom means contradicting and disagreeing with others. The fact that we do not all agree is no indication that the society is falling apart. What was most valuable in the interview is the description of the possible transformations in academic work, and the job -market. The demand that human beings transform themselves every few years to learn a new profession seems totally unrealistic for the majority of humanity. It seems that what the future will hold is what is already happening i.e. An educated elite is leaving great parts of society behind, increasing the economic, social, quality of life gap.

Any human today discussing "the future," who doesn't at least *mention* the current environmental crisis and the direction this planet is taking, is missing the most important slice of our legacy. Talking about what 20 and 30 years ahead might look like only from a perspective of academia and technology is like wearing blinders - these intellectuals MUST begin paying attention to how we are careening into extinction, and they must put it first and foremost. To my beloved grandson Cole, Having entered into a covenant with Father God our Creator thru His only begotten Son, Jesus, at the age of eight years, your grandfather has become a bond slave (committed permanently by choice) to Jesus. It is a covenant easily remembered because it is spelled out in your name. As it is written, "O you seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob His chosen. He is the LORD our God: His judgments are in all the earth. He has remembered His covenant for ever, the word which He commanded to a thousand generations. Which [C]ovenant He made with Abraham, and His [O]ath unto Isaac; And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a [L]aw, and to Israel for an [E]verlasting covenant: Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan (Israel), the lot of your inheritance." (Psa 105:1-11, 1 Ch 16:16) For it is written, "All the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away" (Ex 15:15) And Jerusalem is, "My holy habitation" and "mountain of thine inheritance" "the city I have chosen to put My name in." "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" "For in peace thereof you shall have peace." (Ex 15:13 & 17, 1 Kings 11:36, Psa 122:6, Jer 29:7). Cole, Christians are the spiritual seed and offspring of Abraham bound together by grace through faith in the covenant made by Father God our Creator. A COVENANT is a coming together, contract; a meeting or mutual consent agreement of minds. A covenant is created by a deed in writing, as in God's Law (Ten Commandments) which are "the words of the covenant" executed in writing that "He commanded Israel (and Gentile Believers) to perform." After the Lord God saved Israel from Egyptian bondage and upon their leaving mount Horeb, there was nothing in the Ark save the covenant/Testimony given to Moses written by the finger of God upon two tables of stone. (Ex 31:18) Now after being freed of the bondage of sin by the precious atoning blood of Jesus, "mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other" the Ark of the covenant/testimony is with man as these same words (Law/Testimony) of heavenly Father's covenant are written upon the tables of the believer's heart and sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ex 34:28, Deu 4:13, Psa 85:10, 2 Co 3:3). It is written, "Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples." (Isa 8:16) This is not a law of works but faith in the commands and promises of God. This covenant of redemption (everlasting life) is that mutual agreement between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit respecting His deliverance of mankind from sin thru the precious, atoning (reconciling) and shed blood of Jesus Messiah, our Lord!!! Jesus says, "this is my blood of the New Testament/Covenant which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Mat 26:28) It is a covenant of grace in which God has called us by His Word, chosen us for the baptism of His Holy Spirit whereby thru the death burial and resurrection of Jesus, He is faithful to bestow that same resurrection power to us, the Believer. All this by faith in the "Apostle's Doctrine" that man should believe in Christ and yield obedience to the terms of the Gospel as it is written, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call." (Acts 2:38-39) "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Jesus should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) - "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" (Eph 2:8) Just remember Cole, while we were yet sinners, God first loved us (Rom 5:8). Jesus (the Lamb of God without sin) says, "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that what-ever you shall ask of the Father in my name, He may give it you---you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." (John 15:16-19) - For many are called, but few are chosen." (Mat 22:14) If you have followed the terms of the "Apostle's Doctrine" stated above in (Acts 2:38), you have entered in at the strait (right) gate. Jesus says, "for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction (death of soul), and many there be which go in through it:" (Mat 7:13) At the end, "The Lamb (Jesus) shall overcome them (the world): for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." (Rev 17:14) - "And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband." (Rev 21:2) Hallelujah, Amen *** This Covenant/Deed/Testimony made by Father God to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob/Israel was all prophesied and fulfilled by Jesus to bless the earth, that Israel along with Gentile Believers should receive that eternal inheritance promised of God. (Gen 18:18, Gal 3) That we may proclaim blessing, honor, glory and power to Jesus (whose name is above all names) and that He be glorified on earth even as He is in heaven, forever. (Gen 26:4, Rev 5:13, Deu11:21, 1 Chr 29:11, Mat 6:10, Eph 4:6, John 3:31, Psa 8:1, 148:13) As it is written, "judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it." (Psa 94:15) It is written, "For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator." (Heb 9:16) Jesus accomplished this in the flesh!!! You are being tricked right before your very eyes. Especially if you have any belief in this guy. I wonder if he is aware of his ironic position.

Would the Professor like to comment on the Chinese Government creating problems militarily or otherwise in South East Asia. What’s Xi Jinping’s hidden agenda?

Interesting points from Harari as usual, but he's too optimistic.People were saying the same thing after the 2008 crash and *nothing* changed. All that will happen with the needless economic destruction wrought by Covid lockdowns and the future volatile jobs market, will be more of the same - ever-widening gap between rich and poor, insecure and poorly paid jobs for the working and increasingly middle class, a decline in living standards for normal people, and the slow death of democracy and a rise in extremism as people see how impotent our co-opted leaders are.

mr hariri says interesting stuff but too much emphesis on physical aspect. the person is not his physical self but he is his spritual or soul. soulwork is celectial and mr hariri completly reject it. thats why all his forsight though interesting but is very very limited. he misses the whole point when he only focus on animal side of human
