Thank you for your videos! I really enjoy them, but please note: Othniel is the older son of Kenaz, and Othniel does not have a brother called Caleb (1 Chronicles 4:13). Caleb is the son of Jephunneh (1 Chronicles 4:15). Thus, Judges 3:9 is saying that Othniel is the son of Kenaz, and Kenaz is the younger brother of Caleb. Also-Othniel is the son-in-law of Caleb (Joshua 15:17).

Psalms 84:12a reference is actually 84:11a

As they have explained in previous comments, the Hebrew numbering is different because they count the introductory text (e.g., "To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm for the sons of Korah") as verse 1 where English translations don't count it as a verse at all.

People usually fight for the bread eventually. Remember the land is to yield the bread.

there is a verb לחם which means "to go to war / fight" hence מלחמה literally means like fighting (= War, Battle), and the root of both לחם (Bread) and מלחמה is ל ח מ , but I would guess that there is no connection...

Estoy investigando un poco, y parece que es ambiguo, que entender a Otniel como el hermano o como el sobrino de Calev los dos son posibles gramaticalmente. Es posible que sí sea el sobrino. Pero vemos en Josué 14:6 que el padre de Calev era descendiente de alguien llamado "Kenaz," lo cual también complica. No estoy segura. 🤔
