The LORD saved me only 3 short years ago at the ripe old age of 35!! I had never been to church in my life and didn't even know David and Goliath was a Bible story! I heard a preacher read John 14:6 aloud while I was battling through trying to understand the faith, and it was like chimes from heaven that told me to pull out my phone and read that verse. I was sitting in the nursery and when I read those words everything stopped. I cried harder than I have ever cried in my whole life. That moment I knew! I had a Hebew Roots friend and a Catholic friend who were both trying to win for their side as I was coming to faith and I was so confused trying to find the truth. I believe the Holy Spirit reached out to me that day, after praying so much for the truth, and made the truth of the Gospel known to me. Praise God!!! Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by Me. Since that day not even 3 short years ago I've read the Bible cover to cover so many times, praying for nothing but the truth. You convey that truth exactly as I understand it revealed by the Spirit. I have wanted to make this content for so long because it seems that people just don't understand the faith as it was once and for all delivered to the saints. Being thrown in to such a diverse pool of **religion** I stumbled so hard for years!! But now I am so grateful and count it all joy because the testing of our faith produces patience and patience will have its perfect work that we will be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. You have such a gift for this teaching! I pray that one day I will be as graceful and as well spoken as you are that I too may be counted worthy to share the Gospel and people will believe it, all for the glory of the LORD!! Thank you for sharing the truth of God and for earnestly contending for the faith! God bless you!

There are others who understand. But, I was saved over 35 years ago and I remember thinking the same thing you did. I looked at other Christians and thought they didn't understand like I did. Now I think it was just a honeymoon phase. It's like when you get married and you're so happy you wonder how other marriages aren't so good and you think yours will be great forever. Then, you grow up and realize that there is a lot more to know and a lot to work on. My son got saved just over 2 years ago and he is doing the same thing. He is wondering why so many Christians struggle and think they are less spiritual because of it. He's a real go-getter so it's hard to watch him get so distraught because he can't convince others to see things the way he does. The thing is, we understand, but we know life can be hard and it's not always going to be as easy as he feels it is. Does that make any sense? I remember feeling that there was nothing that would bring me down or distract me from serving Jesus, but, I found out that testing WILL come. My point is that when it does, don't be surprised because we all go through it.

@@graftme3168 There is still *SO* much to learn. Please forgive me if I gave the impression that in 3 years of studying the Bible I've learned everything there is to know. Certainly not what I was saying!!! 😂😂😂 I have come to learn that I make mistakes and fall so miserably short that without the grace of God I would be nothing. I'm so thankful for the LORD! Trials have come. They will continue to come. I'm ready to persist to the end if by God's grace He allows it! 🙏 I count it all joy! I think you are reading a bit too far into my simple thanks to this professor for defending the faith as it was delivered to the saints. The knowledge of God is so infinitely deep that no man can comprehend it or exhaust it! I seek to know nothing among you but Christ and Him crucified! 🙏

@@HopeUnknown I wasn't thinking anything like that. I love to see people so excited about knowing Jesus. I guess I was just thinking about my own experience and how easy it can be to get discouraged. And, thinking that others will get discouraged too. I think about how my son is so in love with Jesus and it makes me think that when things happen he might get even more discouraged because right now he thinks nothing will ever get him down. That makes me concerned. I try to tell him that he might be too confident in his own self, strength, ability, etc. and that it is God that he should depend on and not his feelings right now. I tell him that so that he won't be surprised and discouraged when his "feelings" aren't keeping him going any more. Does that make sense? It happened to me and I didn't have anyone to encourage me or support me, so I thought there was something wrong with me. If it wasn't for reading the Word so much, I don't think I could have made it through mentally. If I had a Christian friend who was experienced in walking the Christian life, I think I could have prevented myself from so much despair. I guess I was conditioned to believe that everything was supposed to be good all the time, or at least that I was never supposed to suffer mentally or spiritually. I just wish someone would have told me it was okay to feel heartache and pain and negative emotions. But, I learned without anyone by my side that Jesus was always by my side all along and that He understands that we are weak and frail. We are as jars of clay that are prone to crack and break, so that we learn to depend on Him and not our own strength. Anyways, that was probably too long!

@@graftme3168 I wouldn't worry about him. Just be there for him when he needs it. Some things you can only learn by living. When I first started I thought the same thing. It would be easy. I would now be blessed! I found myself down many friends and also despaired. I got so convicted reading the OT I cried for 9 months over sins I committed in my youth. I still pray every day. Lord be merciful to me a sinner. I do the things I don't and the good I want to do I don't do. I found myself in my kitchen wondering where the supposed spirit I was supposed to receive was? The LORD told me, resist the devil and he will flee from you. I went and read the whole book of James in that moment and cried like a baby. I still mess up. I still am unmerciful when I should be merciful. I struggle with forgiveness. But I seek God's will in all I do and I am totally reborn. Not the same. It's tough. Through trials we are made perfect! Purified as through fire. He will go through it and learn. Just be there for him.

Speaking of the nearness of God, I had an extreme experience about a year ago. I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep and couldn't. I started to feel my back hurt and I thought I'd roll over. Right before I did, a hand came over and set down on my left shoulder. When this hand touched me I felt like my entire body was filled with light and this intense joy was there, so intense it almost felt like I shouldn't be able to handle it. The hand only stayed there for 3 seconds, when if left, I gasped saying, "thankyou" This joy was not like regular, everyday happiness, it was unearthly.

5:39 Great stuff as always! In chapter two there is a glimpse of the idea that Jews believed that the law of Moses was delivered to him through angels(2:2): “for if the message spoken by angels was binding and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment…”. This echoes your thesis that the writer is comparing and contrasting angels with Jesus in chaps 1 & 2 and concluding that Jesus is superior. The old message was spoken by angels. The new message was spoken to us by the lord. Also, the last chapter tells us not to forget to entertain foreigners…why? Well, no guarantee, but, many who entertained foreigners, were entertaining angels without knowing it. Perhaps, after this great sermon establishes the preeminence of Jesus, proper place of angels is reintroduced…rather than worshipping them, seeing them as motivation for living out the mission of our calling.

I ask this because I assume Apollos was a convert given his greek name and also that 'he knew only the baptism of John' at one time. If the writer of Hebrews did use the septuagint is this a clue that it could have been apollos? Thank you.

15:00 I thought scripture told us god had no form, he's not a man and he didn't want us creating an image of him, you've just said imagine a face. Christ having a "name higher than angels" isn't this in relation to authority, considering Psalms says man has been a little lower than angels incl the son of man? According to this reasoning, are you saying god's name was lower than the angels and became more when yeshua came on the scene?

I don't think the angels topic needs to be explained by that. There's a whole "angelic" view in OT. If you read Michael Heiser's work, you'd get that jews would believe that angels were superior even David talked about humans being made ina lower position than "elohim" (heavenly creatures.

@@swebb77 Doubtful. Hebrew was a dead language at the time & Greek was the lingua franca. Slight possibility it may have been written in Aramaic, but then again that was a "house language" (basic/common words spoken by Jews in the home, i.e. not the "high" version that could handle abstract religious concepts) & no doubt whoever wrote Hebrews wanted it to be read & circulated amongst all the churches including the Gentile &/or "mixed" congregations.

That was my point that Son of God is used over 40 times. I think there is a difference between saying Son of God and God the Son. Others of course don't. All these phrases that the early councils brought up and developed and put in creeds that schooled trained people accept as truth but the words are not in scripture. Coeternal, coequal, trinity, eternally begotten, God the Son, and Godhead is absolutely a terrible word to use for divine nature. The 3 places that godhead is used it certainly is not talking about the godhead. You have accused others of using words not in scripture and all these trinity words are not in scripture also. That was my point. You certainly do a great job in the teaching videos I've heard from You. Keep up the unity of the spirit 😊👍👍

I hear what you're saying Jan. But I have not accused others of using specific words not found in Scripture. I am under no illusion that a particular word or phrase must appear in Scripture in order for the concept it represents to be true. For example, the word "Bible" is not in the Bible, but the Bible is most certainly true! And the word "omniscient" is not there either, but I believe God is omniscient. Where I have challenged other teachers is on whether the _concept_ they're teaching is biblical. Blessings! Rob

I will elaborate on what Luis posted. Robert Solberg: If Yeshua is God, then why would God have to appoint Yeshua heir of all things? Is he appointing all things to himself of another god? It is clear from Proverbs 8 that someone was brought forth, and Hebrews 1:6 confirms that he was begotten (Greek: brought forth). Did you hear the video I posted: If God is one, then who is Yeshua? Did you hear it? God clearly declared and revealed Yeshua as his Son; if he would have declared him as God, we would have a problem because God himself said, there is no God before me, after me, or beside me, in other words, with me. John 1:1 should be read as in the original text: In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and God was the word. It was written this way to reflect one God. He brought forth a son to speak every word that proceeded out of his mouth. Yeshua is of the nature and essence of the one who brought him forth, but God declared and revealed him as his Son, and we must do the same. Tell me, who gave Yeshua all authority? If Yeshua is God, then God has given all authority to himself. Is that what you believe? The deity of Yeshua is not being denied; he is the Son of God, but if God declared and revealed him as his Son, we should do the same. You will deny all the above because you have been engraved with a lie that was established by Rome: they wanted nothing to do with the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and they wanted nothing to do with God's people, the Jews. This is why the Sabbath was removed. Open your eyes!

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty,so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4. For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him. Brothers and sisters we must open the book and read for ourselves, we must not be turned from the simplicity of Christ. God is not the author of confusion. Peace

@Gigi2four This is a small outline of what's involved. Are they fairing well, yes, but their GDP requires input from outside sources. At last I recall, 65% of their GDP went toward the Military and with so much toward social concerns. At the time I started, there were 200,000 Holocaust Survivors still alive and aged seniors without living relatives, and that's where Aid Organizations come in. My little attempts and approaches are minor, but ever so useful. One Military tank costed 5 million dollars and that's before arrival of Lazer beams. The goodness of God is simple, but at times, sight blinders are needed against the distracting World Events. One ( Like ) from readers I eagerly ♥️ hope an influence will produce like-minded persons to aid Israel in someway needed to their better end and thereby reap God's scriptural benefits in return. The more the better, one penny from a Gentile is saying I Love ❤️ you, and God takes all in account and records all that we do, and especially towards the Jews, why, because that's the simple truth in scripture and so I follow it. Again!!! ❤️God bless❤️

It doesn't make sense to me to say Jesus created everything and say from Heb Jesus inherited all this. Given greater authority, given a better name, a higher position etc. So Jesus created all this and gave it to himself. I think Col 1 is saying (through) on account of him (Jesus) all things were created. In my mind his heirship would make more sense that way if his father created everything and because of his obedience unto death he received all this greatness of position for being perfectly faithful

Hello, Jan! I'm not quite following you. The term "Son of God" is found over 40 times in the New Testament referring to Jesus. And God directly calls Jesus His Son (Matt. 3:17, 17:5; Mark 9:7, 10:11; Luke 3:22, 9:35; 2 Pet. 1:17). And the NT authors also often to Him as the Son (eg. John 1:14). Maybe the most explicit example is found in Matthew 3: “As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:16-17) This passage reveals three distinct entities. 1. The Father, God, speaks from heaven 2. The Son, who is divine being baptized on earth, 3. And the Holy Spirit, who we know is the Spirit of God Himself, descends from Father to rest on the Son. So while Scripture may not contain the exact word-for-word phrase you cited, it's certainly teaches the concept of God the Son. Blessings, Rob

Robert Solberg, you have no understanding of this passage. Tell me, who said unto Yeshua, "thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee? The Greek word for begotten means to bring forth, and now you can understand Proverbs 8, where the Son himself is stating that he was brought forth. If Yeshua is God, then why would God have to hand over all authority to Yeshua? Isn't he God, according to you? Unless Yeshua is a little God, is he? By the way, Hebrews 1:2 reflects on Deuteronomy 18, which you refused to respond to. Show me where in the Scriptures God declared and revealed him as God. Under no circumstances am I denying the deity of Yeshua; he is of the nature and essence of the one who brought him forth, but God declared and revealed him as his Son, and you are declaring him as God, introducing polytheism into Christianity. By the way, none of your followers will respond to the above because you will watch them start name-calling. You made it clear you would no longer respond, and the real reason is that you do not want to truthfully respond to my questions.

Read Ephesian 2:7-9 very carefully and you will get your answer as why Paul is teaching grace, If you cannot understand what Paul is stating and who is talking to let me know I can help you better understand what he is stating. Remember Yeshua died for those under the Law, to remove the curse of the law, and so grace was extended to those who have law. God chosen are justified by faith in Yeshua, and the gentiles through faith in the anointed one, Yeshau.

@@heavenorhell1216 Accusing me of attacking Christians is a very familiar trait that Christian constantly uses against me and many others. This proves how low self-esteem your Christians have. This behavior Christians have had for the last two millennia. Even the founder of Protestantism is a good example of that. Imagine claiming to be a follower of the "prince of peace"? Jesus has by far the most rebellious followers in the world. let it sink in a bit before you accuse someone else.

Mr. Soloberg, a.k.a. Marcion, I listen only to the first three minutes of this video, and you already begin the Sabbath with deception. For all of you out there listening to this deceiver, pay close attention to the verse he begins with and the deception he brings forth. He starts off by saying that Jesus inherits all things; this is true, but he goes on to introduce Jesus as God because he believes that was the intention of the writer in presenting Jesus as part of a triune God. Notice he bypasses verse one, where the writer introduces God first, then starts to speak about God who gave his son the inheritance of all things, but Mr. Splberg, a.k.a. Marcion, ignores God being mentioned in the first verse to introduce a false doctrine of men to keep his deception alive. Pay close attention to this deceiver. Once a deceiver, always a deceiver. I will continue to listen to Mr. Solberg, a.k.a. Marcion, deception and point it out so you can verify it for yourselves. And by the way, if you this crosses you deceivable mind, I am in no way denying the deity of Yeshua, He is the son who was brought forth by His Father.

@RLSolberg I know very well what Marcion taught and beliefs were. You might have gone over verse one in your last video, as you claim, but what you did was present Yeshua as God, knowing very well that the writer mentions God in the prior verse, which you intentionally left out to present your distorted view. Just like Marcion, your intention was to dismiss the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, elevate Yeshua to be above Yehovah Elohim, and ignore the fact that all authority was given to Yeshua by God Himself. Maybe you should spend more time reading God's written word, which he made and clearly stated in Deut. 18, where it can straighten your distorted view of Yeshua. Everything Yeshua spoke or commanded comes directly from the Father, even Yeshua, made this claim that you intentionally left out of your view. Just like Marcion, who wanted nothing to do with God's Law, that is the same argument you are presenting. Marcion wanted nothing to do with the Tanakh, God's laws, or even the Gospel, except for part of Luke and some of the epistles of Paul, from which all your argument stems. Maybe if you read a little about Marcion, you will understand why he was deemed a heretic. Tell me does Yeshua sit on the throne of God, or the throne of his father David?

@@luiscajigas5567The basis of Marcionite theology was that there were two cosmic gods. A vain and angry creator god who demanded and ruthlessly exacted justice had created the material world of which humanity, body and soul, was a part-a striking departure from the usual gnostic thesis that only the human body is part of creation, that the soul is a spark from the true but unknown superior God, and that the world creator is a demonic power. The other god, according to Marcion, was completely ineffable and bore no intrinsic relation to the created universe at all. Out of sheer goodness, he had sent his son Jesus Christ to save humankind from the material world and bring about a new home.

With all due respect for the benevolent intent and the praiseworthy aspects of your ministry, Hebrews 1 does not highlight a "triune God." It explicitly underscores Jesus as "inheriting" a name above the angels as obedient heir. God isn't his own child, nor does he have to inherit a better name than angels from his own God! Surely this is common sense, which is a gift from God. Jesus is the one through whom *his own God*, who he *perfectly reflects*, created this age and the one to come. A spot-on image of God is not God. Again, common sense. Jesus is the inimitably extolled and blessed holy child OF the One God, who he calls "father" and "my God." God has *made* him Lord over us due to his salvational obedience as beloved and extraordinary heir, the stellar solidifier of all God's wise purposes for man. The firstborn of a new creation. Bible 101.
