Join me, The CowboyCamper, as I embark on an extraordinary Hebridean Adventure challenge-walking 156-miles of the Outer Hebrides. The Hebridean Way on foot. Along this iconic route I carry all my camping gear in my trusty rucksack! And hope to showcase the essence of wild camping, long-distance through hikes, and an unforgettable travel experience.
Embarking on this epic journey across the stunning landscapes of the Hebridean Way, I immerse myself in the raw beauty of Scotland. this journey involves 2 Ferries, 6 stunning Causeways and the 10 Islands of Vatersay, Barra, Eriskay, South Uist, Benbecula, Grimsay, North Uist, Berneray, Harris and the end destination of Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis.This a great way of exploring Scottish Islands. I share every step of the way over 12 adventure-filled days. I trek through remote glens, conquer rugged terrains, and camp beneath the open skies, painting a vivid picture of wild camping and wilderness exploration that defines my channel.
This remarkable feat captures the essence of my passion for adventure, self-sufficiency, and the nomadic spirit. I invite you to witness the triumphs, challenges, unforgettable scenes and breathtaking moments as I document this incredible 156-mile trek. From the tranquil shores of the Hebrides to the dramatic peaks of the Highlands, this journey is a testament to the unyielding spirit of exploration and outdoor discovery.
Scotland always throws up an outdoor challenge. And. this was no different. The Hebrides although in the highlands. is actually low lying. it has very little in the way of Forrests or trees and thus the weather can be.......changeable at best. Come prepared for driving wind and rain with little or no cover. Experience this island life in its raw form. This is a scenic hike of outstanding natural beauty. The outer Hebrides is natures TV!

@AlexandraGalloway. Thanks for watching. I was going to put that in the video but never got round to it. You can either get the buses back In addition to the ferry crossings or you can get the ferry from Stornoway to Ullapool. From there I had to get a coach to Inverness and then train to Glasgow and onward to Oban. A bit of a trek but that’s what I had to do.
