How is she to know what he is going to say next ? Its just unnecessary and if I paid good money to see a show I would be pissed off for that to be a topic.

@@trish5111 what he said "It's simple, people sometimes overestimate their ability to be tolerant." And clearly you don't " have a great sense of humor". Here's how it works: at every comedy show, there is a risk of being offended if you know that any of a dozen or so 'sensitive' topics come up. So do the research and don't go. Make sure that the particular comic only focuses on certain topics that are within your comfort zone - maybe Asian accents, slavery etc. better still - stay home;

That didnt happen here, and I seriously appreciate the surgical precision and empathy which this comedian uses to handle hot trigger topics. It's lifesaving for me to learn how to laugh -- ESPECIALLY when I am feeling awkward discomfort about a topic.That's what comedy is (not the diguised bullying that sometimes passes for comedy). pro choice just means people can get rid of an accidental and unwanted pregnancy if safe sex fails ( or in the event of sexual assault ) it can also save a persons life if a pregnancy goes wrong and becomes too dangerous. and, you never said this but it’s a common argument, you can’t just make people stop having sex for pleasure, that’s unreasonable in my opinion. proper sex education and access to abortion and other healthcare that might “harm the foetus” saves many lives, and helps both people who do and don’t want kids to have a safer experience. if you are against abortion, you need to understand the risks of pregnancy and the risks of healthcare that does not prioritise the person carrying the child. because those dangers are what you are advocating for.
@dizzyizabee530827 күн бұрын
Also if people do want to have kids, any good doctors will warn if anything can harm the baby and will do their best to make sure both the parent and child are healthy. but with laws against abortion, there are people who might not be able to access medication that keeps them alive due to the possibility of it harming the baby. (even though if the person can’t or can barely live without the medication, there’s no way that baby is going to make it either) and there are a bunch of stories of doctors who weren’t able to save a patients life, because the laws prevented them from acting until it was essentially too late. And you’ve probably heard a bunch of people mention stories of sexual assault, even if people suddenly decide to be abstinent there will always be predators who get away with it, and there are stories involving children who were forced to carry due to the law. and I can only imagine how many may have died because their bodies couldn’t handle it. Laws against abortion may also cause more infanticide, people who survive having the baby might kill it once it’s born because they can’t or won’t look after it. And I’ve heard bad stories about foster care systems. If people are able to “kill” the baby before it’s even started developing it saves a lot of suffering for both the person and the baby. People who are desperate for abortions may try to perform them on themselves, I don’t know the methods exactly but ive heard of people sticking wires up their vaginas. They might try to force a miscarriage which can be very dangerous. And some very desperate people may even commit suicide. Sorry I just started a whole list of things, but these are all things I’ve heard of happening and feel free to look into it since I may have to as well, but it’s upsetting stuff. Which is why I wanted to tell you. Cuz these are the consequences of prioritising a viable pregnancy over the people who experience them.
@k.a.w17724 күн бұрын
im pro life but only for myself, i know what causes pregnancy and i know that accidents happen, i have people around me who i am certain will be by my side and help me if i ever end up alone, but i also know two girls from 7th grade year who ended up dropping out completely because they had to go through with pregnancy, one of them ended up really depressed and disowned her child and now the child is another person’s responsibility, i feel like no girl or woman should have to go through things they dont want to and arent ready for, i’ll do everything to support my child but i wont bother a woman simply because she chose what she thought was best.

He actually highlights serious issues through comedy and that’s why I listen, because to me what matters are the issues, presented in a much lighter way. But dirty people only want to talk and listen about s*x, not world issues. Is s*x even an issue? I say dirty people because I feel really horrible, awkward, dirty, to listen to people speaking about s*x just for fun especially when the opposite gender is present. I like comedy but not when comedians speak about dirty things just for fun and to gain audience (maybe). There are too many issues in the world at least at present for even a hard hearted person to ignore. Or maybe the problems are the hard hearted people themselves.

You can care if someone gets murdered without necessarily caring about the circumstances that led to their murder. But they aren't mutually exclusive. The only people who claim that pro-lifers only care about the kids until they are born are pro-aborters, pro-lifers never make such claims and in fact they give more to organizations that help mothers and children and they adopt more. The argument that "you're not pro-life youre just pro-birth" is nothing more than ad hominem meant to poison the well and put pro-lifers on the defensive on the outset.
