I am so excited that I was able to watch such an educational video. I have been an accountant for several years, however to to health issues I have been out of the workforce for a while. It’s so wonderful lessons ever. May I ask a question? 1. If owner asks about financial reports, do I just need to give him a P & L report and Balance sheet? Is it only two reports? 2. What about trial balance, general ledger? Is it just for me to review or should I think of financial report? 3. When do I need to make a journal entry and why do we need to do? 4. If owner just purchased a new car for his work, should I put it’s his asset and should it be recorded depreciated expense? 5. If company bought a new computer $1000 for me with a credit card, should I just enter a credit card for purchase only or should I record a new computer purchase for an asset and depreciate ?

Hello Hector, I enjoy your tutorials. I have Quickbooks desktop for Windows. I am looking for a Detailed Cash Flow report for a calendar year: Account, sub-account, date, amount. We want to load this data into an Excel spreadsheet to do our analysis. Transaction report just does not do it for us, most of transactions are reported twice and it shows sub-accounts only, not an account:sub-account. Cash Flow report does not give details unless I drill in, so it does not work for Excel export. Grateful for your help.

The term “cash flow report” doesn’t mean anything… which means that it could be anything really. So your question here really might be about how to create a custom report with certain parameters…. If you send me a sample spreadsheet via email, i can tell you which app you might need to add to get the data you want. Its possible that QB cannot do it natively.
