What I know about Hedge funds is that perpetual contracts are one of the main ways funds gain exposure to short USDT

Such a good trade. a dollar peg will never be higher than a dollar and can only be below it. So you receive a buck to short a tether and you will never have to pay more that a buck to buy it back all whist collecting 4% short term yield on your USD. Just a great way to receive money for nothing, make more money off it, the return the money and probably make profit on that short cover when tether inevitably crashes some time in the future.

tether is one of the strongest crypto assets there is. i very much doubt it's going anywhere soon
