Mary K. Greer wrote "Tarot for Yourself," which I think is a great book for beginners building a personal relationship with tarot. It's also a great resource for aligning yourself with a new deck.

Re: Circe, the Anglican pronunciation is derived from the Latin and you were correct (Sir-see). The Greek is Κιρκη/Kirkê; pronounced in Ancient Greek like Kir-keh and Modern Greek Kir-kee. The Ancient letter Eta (η) is a tricky sound, falling between a short 'e' and long 'a' sound (uh, let vs day, find the middle?). Modern Eta is just another long 'e' sound (and I hate it!). Anyway, I love a rooibos chai! Though lately I've been drinking peppermint hot chocolate in the evenings.

Excellent explanation! I pronounce Hekate the ancient Greek way and people always look at me like I've lost my mind. I wish we had a better understanding of Carian language so I could go even further back. Not that it matters since I'm sure a deity of knowledge would probably be thrilled at the natural evolution of her own name!

Depends on the mood, usually coffee or hot chocolate but I learned a new recipe from Bex at The Witches Cookery, she uses dark chocolate melted into milk but I use twinnings swiss chocolate drink. 3 tsp hot choc, small dollop of coconut oil, 1 tsp espresso, 1 tsp brown sugar, sprinkling of cinnamon and 3-4 green cardamom pods, top it off with hot water. You can put whipped cream on top with cinnamon or chocolate sprinkles but I have it just like that and it is absolutely magical. 😍☕🖤✨

Happy belated holidays and new year😅 My favourite drink is also hot chocolate (2tbsp sugar and coffee whitener, 3 tbsp cocoa powder) with an ounce of Stinger or peppermint Schnapps. It's so thick that it's like drinking a melted mint chocolate 🍫. The absolute BEST hot drink for cozying up to watch TV any time of the year (but especially in our harsh Canadian winters, BURRRRR!🥶)

Many many years ago I burned my arm taking something out of the oven. At the time I didn’t understand EO’s and put pure lavender straight on the burn. To this day I have a long scar on my arm. Yes, learned my lesson. Never put undiluted essential oils directly on the skin! Always dilute them!

This is my morning routine. Hearth's book release videos with a cup of coffee. My favorite drink is a large iced vanilla latte with oat milk. If I want more earthy I'll do half vanilla and half cardamom, or more herbal, half vanilla and half lavender. 📚

Re drinks, I am probably a bit stuck in a rut. My drink of choice is always going to be coffee. I do also enjoy very lightly sparkling water, Russian Earl Gray Tea and Masala Rooibos tea. Thanks Hearth! I'm currently reading "Under the witching tree" by Corinne Boyer and just ordered "The poison path grimoire" by Coby Michael last night. I'm looking forward to this after having read his previous book "The poison path herbal". The to- be- read- pile is getting ridiculous..."Under the bramble arch" Corinne Boyer will be next (sitting on the pile). However "Of blood and bones" might sneak in before that, as it recently was delivered to me. Looking for a copy of Corinne's 3rd book "Under the dragon root", however there are no stockists in Australia for it yet that I can find and shipping from the US or UK is pricey!
