Thanks for your video. I have just taken apart a bosch battery 18-45 hedge trimmer that stopped working just 1 month out of guarantee,. I stripped and cleaned out everywhere and regreased. Now working again. Thanks again this video was simple and easy to follow

Finally something we find in Canada eh? Nice job Mick normally what you work on we would never see in Canada but this one exists over here. Have had a few in and the white lithium grease in the gear box normally hardens up and separates off to the sides so maintenance is required to keep them going.

Yeah I see the same problem here.. that's why I use high temperature mate

A big branch could do it for sure. He also might have slapped the end on the ground with it running and caused enough twist in the blades to allow the bottom blade connector to hop off, then the motor pounded it into place. Good fix!

Big branch or garden fence wire! Yeah! Ask me how I know! 😆 I keep getting a Titan trimmer come back for the same repair every time which necessitates totally stripping the cutter mechanism 😒 the poor thing is only a cheep home owner machine but gets used commercially and abused no end. So there ya go! DiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiIiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiing! 😂 Gotta love Riley. ❣

LOL great video bro. I spent afternoon and removed blades, sharpened, reinstalled blades and replaced the old grease for the first time on an 8 year old gas powered Echo hedge clipper. LOL no matter how many precautions you take, you're right that crap gets everywhere. Awesome relationship with your son BTW. cheers

Depends on if those hedge trimmer should have a grease fitting on the machine such as the echo brand some of the time the grease might be white lithium grease which can get hard over time the movie is terminator which the saying you said

Hi mick good video, I have a question for you.. what do you charge for something like this. I get a lot of similar jobs that are quite time consuming but no parts needed always feel bad charging a lot when no parts was needed just grease and stuff and the machine is only worth £100 or so. Stick some rope in the spark plug hole.. that will stop the piston moving.. then un screw the clutch.. think it's clockwise to un do it .. left hand thread..
