There are many cordless trimmers to try for a cordless hedge trimmer comparison. The dewalt dcht820b is a cordless hedge trimmer that uses the 20 V Max batteries, and this is the tool only, the dewalt cordless hedge trimmer bare tool. I use a small 10" X 10" tarp since I don't have any spare screening rolls. I then just toss the clippings into the woods since I live on 20 acres of woodland. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Unless you use a hedge trimmers daily and year round, the batteries will lose performance significantly every year. Cordless is not a good occasional use Homeowner gardening tool. Why they still sell corded electric.

Your tip is definitely a time saver! I don't have a screen, but I use an old tarp instead. Its so nice to see homeowners taking care of their property! I have a female neighbor who hasn't mowed her lawn in 2 months and it looks awful. When I spoke to her, she said she don't care. I care because it makes my property look bad, so I've been mowing and trimming her lawn ever since. I don't get paid for doing it, but I enjoy being outdoors and doing this sort of stuff.

We have garden waste bins that the local authority collect for composting. My problem is that I have flower beds at the base of my hedges, I've tried your method previously and the flowers etc just get crushed. I'm thinking of a 4'x6' raised wooden frame to catch the clippings. I like your mesh idea which would make my frame lighter than using solid ply/MDF. Thanks for the video.

@@jeffostroff I know what you mean Jeff by reaching the back of the hedge. When I do mine, my hedges are too deep for me to get to, so I have to go inside the home, open the 4 windows, remove the screen, and with my upper body outside the window, I'm able to use my trimmer to trim 3 inches away from the house. I have to repaint the exterior of my home in a couple weeks and when I go to paint that section, the step ladder legs are not wide enough to clear the hedge, even after roping the hedge in a bundle. I might have to rent some scaffolding to clear the 5 feet from the ground and use the platform to paint atop that area

Honda HRX2173HZA it's about an $800 mower, it has electronic ignition star, awesome. You can also pull the cord to start. It was their top of the line self propelled when I bought it, too pricey for stores, I ordered it from Home Depot's web site, paid for it all with points on my credit card, so it cost me nothing in terms of capital outlay.
