Totally agree with your comments! Hate it when people gatekeep fashion and tell people to wear this/not wear that and say fashion is only supposed to be avant garde art. We can wear whatever we want cuz fashion is a reflection of ourselves and our lives

Totally agree about gatekeeping. For me, the joy of fashion is the fusion of both aesthetic and design, and how that can be challenged in different ways. Thank you so much for watching Dan!

Obsessed with your comments on fashion! And especially enjoy you talking about Hedi’s Celine. I don’t know why even though you talk about how basic you are, what you said, brimming with intelligence, was so deep or thought provoking that I just cannot stop listening to you and constantly think about your opinion of fashion as consumption

LOVE your commentary! It's so nice to see a normal person that really embodies the 'your interests make you interesting' thing. No long list of qualifications and you're not trying to be 'cool'. Hope to see more commentary from you! And yes, being a normie may not be cool online but you're probably the woman most other moms would want to steal something out of your closet. They don't want that ugly Balenciaga trashbag either, they just want a nice, interesting designed, highly quality blazer and you have it 😁

Love that line "your interests make you interesting". I don't know if its an age thing, but trying to follow the trends is something I just don't have the patience for anymore in my 30s. Those high-quality "boring basics" interestingly enough are the pieces I never get tired of. Thank you so much for watching❤️

I think it’s so ironic that Phoebe Philo is endlessly praised for making “clothes for the modern woman,” when 95% of women wouldn’t be able to integrate her pieces into their wardrobes effectively. Then you have Hedi who is designing more for the vibes than for a specific woman in mind, and yet I could easily see myself wearing at least 50% of his collection in my daily life.

Great point! I love the effortlessness but always elevated look of his clothes. Thank you so much for watching Stella!

I don't see why both approaches to fashion can't exist? Like let the "couture" designers do their thing, but at the end of day, I personally much prefer approaches like Hedi's, there's something very real and authentic about it, it's not trying to forcefully "re-invent the wheel" by transforming into something that's barely even considered clothing and/or jumping on the latest fad in the fashion world, his designs are basically how I envision people dressing, it has style, elegance, edge, it's an expression of a real attitude, rooted in real subcultures, elevated to an exquisite degree yet still remaining authentic. His expression is very sensitive rather than wanting to be loud, trendy, or extravagant...Just a layman opinion...

I agree, it's so nice to see both. And I do think there is something to be said about the nuances that exist in more "wearable" fashion and Hedi's consistency yet ability to adapt to the times is so refreshing to see. Thank you so much for watching❤
