My wife’s wedding ring has a moissanite stone as the center stone. It was cheaper and more refractive than diamond. Pro tip!
@redmadness26511 ай бұрын
It's essentially diamond anyway. Nearly the same hardness, same crystal structure, similar composition (silicon is chemically similar to carbon)
@QueenQuill11 ай бұрын
Is your wife's moissanite stone colorless? I've seen moissanite as diamond alternative, and in my opinion they're much more beautiful and special than diamonds. Diamonds are what they are because of a brilliant ad campaign in the early 1900s, and continued market control by De Beers. Diamonds are found in nearly every part of the world, and aren't rare in the least. I'm glad that people are starting to figure that out and leaning away from diamonds for engagement rings and other jewelry.
@ammoiscurrency570611 ай бұрын
@@QueenQuill I'm not the OP but my wife has a near colorless moissanite. It's great she loves it nobody thinks it isn't diamond and it gets lots of compliments. Although anytime it's at the jewelry getting work done I get a frantic call of "Sir! Please know I haven't touched ring but stone is no diamond is moissanite. I'm sorry to tell you. Still want work done?" 😅 the relief when I tell them I know it isn't diamond is great. I tell them every single time what the stone is but the repair men freak out and just call.
@sharpy345311 ай бұрын
@@QueenQuill isnt ruby or sapphire more rare than diamond?
@fwiffo11 ай бұрын
@@sharpy3453 Ruby is, but rarity can't be understood without considering size, clarity and a million other things. Also, sapphire comes in every color, and ruby is just red sapphire. Unless the ruby is a spinel, but then it's not actually a ruby even though it's famous and people call it a ruby. And spinel is more rare than ruby. And there are gems that are a million times rarer than that, like benitoite.

@adityasixviandyj733411 ай бұрын
that's the magic or I called as one of pros of Moisanitte. They sparkle so crazy and laser like. some people not like it, but they are really good gemstone if you like more laser focused & rainbowy sparkle; which exclusive to them compared to Diamond which more subtle & glimmering than sparkling. Also due the hardness, Moissanitte is quite good as daily gemstone as well, some of my friend had it for years and not shown crack/scratch, except when they combined it with other diamond jewels. that's why Moissanitte often marketed as for self-reward gift, eco & conflict free diamond alternative; because all gemstone quality ones like here, were lab made.
